My guild’s thinking about doing p1 and p4 Arah today. We haven’t done them, but we’ve heard they’re long, so I wanted to know beforehand if there were any game-breaking bugs still in these two paths so we know whether to do them or just do a different dungeon.

Also, has the door in p2 before Lupi been fixed yet? Last time I did p2 (which was I think more than a month ago), it wouldn’t open.

Path 1’s last door will still bug if the NPC dies, dont reccomend trying this route unless you have a proffesion/player who’s good at getting through invisible walls so you can claim your reward at the end.

it is possible to keep the NPC alive however, but it’s a risk non the less.
Path 4’s Simin is still as annoying as ever, beatable but annoying, if you havent looked up a tactic for her or know one you could easily spend 8 hours on her and get nowhere fast.

i also hear the last boss in path 4 sometimes doesnt start, but i havent experienced this.

Path 1 as mentioned is broken at the end if the npc dies after the stargazer, when she’s running to open the door. You can fix this by all of you sprinting to the door before the encounter starts to get her near the stone. When the boss pops up, the ring of fire will kill her. Kill the boss, the ring of fire should be past her body, so when she pops to life, she won’t kill herself and bug out.

For path 4, you will hate Randall. He is melee. He will spawn grubs. Dwayna’s priest’s sparks will chase him. I recommend getting him killed for Lupi (get to phase 2 regardless of grubs, red circles will own him, reset Lupi, startover without Randall effing it up.) And for the sparks, whoever he’s following should not kite sparks and stand off to the side.

Never heard of the path 2 bug before. The door has always opened for me once we killed the two abominations.

Path 1 is actually a path that’s potentially shorter than path 2 if your team knows what its doing. This is probably not the case if this is the first time you run the path, but it does say something about the complexity of the path. :P

Before you head in I recommend that everyone buys some ash legion spy kits as they can be used to skip a large amount of (very!) annoying trash mobs. Avoid pulling the risen mages/spiders on the way to the first boss. Make sure you kill the guardian eyes + risen on the southern side of the room and range it to death. If everyone has spy kits you can simply run past everything on the way to boss 2. Use spy kits to lose aggro from the orrian drakes (just make sure you arent standing in their poison)
Boss 2 is very simple. Stay in the light to damage them, step out if you take too much damage. After the 2nd boss use the detonator to kill the trash mobs on the way to the third boss. The third boss does bug every now and then, permanently disabling your abilities. This can only be fixed by logging out (normally you are supposed to be able to remove it with the whiskey) but you have to run for 2-3 minutes to get back.
There’s a very long run to Lupicus if you die so make sure everyone is experienced.

Everything on the way to Korga (boss after Lupi) can be skipped. You can lure Korga to the end of the tunnel to avoid having him ressurect too many adds. If you clear the room full of spiders after Korga you get a room with 2 respawning crystals for the final boss. Once the final boss has appeared, the player that the NPC is following should walk far away from the boss room to avoid having the NPC walking into the fire when the boss is killed. If the NPC dies, she wont open the door and you’ll have to glitch through it.

Path 4 is pretty much just bosses. I don’t remember too much about them but most of them with the exception of Lyssa can pretty much just be AFKed with ranged. Grenth requires you to pay a bit of attention though. I recommend that you do some research on Simin before you do this dungeon as she might prove very difficult if you don’t know what you are going up against. The strategy I use is;
1) Damage her to 50% health so she stealths for the first time
2) Lure 4 of the 5 sparks in place
3) Have her regenerate to full HP
4) Damage her to 50% health once again so she stealths. 4 players should continue to use auto attacks on the location she was standing.
5) Lure the final spark in place to make her visible
6) Blow everything you’ve got on her. If she doesn’t fail start killing her the regular way, luring 5 sparks at a time.

That’s all I remember at the moment, have fun.

Why we are even allowed to enter dungeon paths that are broken blows my mind…
Anet obviously know these paths are broken and should at least grey out these paths if they don’t have the time to fix them.

Who wants to spend ages on a dungeon to find it break through no fault of your own.

In reference to ascended items:
Nar: I love that it will take me time and money to
reach the same level I’m at right now… …said no one, ever.

Few times I have done P1 we have always murdered NPC in the fire-dart room before boss. (And Korga can be skipped, too).

Path 1 still get that bug but can be fix easily. Just leave one team member behind with NPC, and fight the last boss with 4 men. He’s weak any way. This would solve the problem
For simin we didn’t do sparks. Just pull her out to a angle and hit her until death. She disspeared twice but re-appeared at the same place. Just keep hitting the air, aoe, everything. There are youtube guides you could use, just search arah simin. See recent ones.
