how can i know which paths i have already done??
Not yet beyond memory. We’re looking into tech solutions for displaying the paths you have run, but our resources are pooled more heavily in fixing bugs, exploits, and other issues before features like this will be worked on.
As a note though, I have brought this very thing up many times. I’d like to see a way for it to work with our achievement system without making a massive slew of achievements that clutter up that UI with even more information.
Would be great to know it though… because i did story + all 3 paths and still have only 3/4 in achievement… as i heard because i was downed when 1 of the last bosses died.. and simply cant remember which one :/

Are there existing character flags for these or would they have to be worked into an existing system? IE: Could you simply alter the color of dungeon path text during the selection process based on completed/not-completed?
Example: I have complete runs 2 of a dungeon, but not run 1 or 3, so I see:
- Route 1
- Route 2
- Route 3
You could use colors instead of bold, but the same principal applies.

We’re all entitled to an opinion, so here’s mine: I hate this over-exaggerated critical attitude. They have chosen to spend time improving other parts of the game instead of getting this issue solved. No-one have to agree with their priorities, but it’s clearly in their best interest to keep us happy with the game.

Presumably, internally, you have that information, right?
So why not simply display it as sub / meta-achievements? No need to add a different UI element, just use what you already have:
1. Create an achievement for each path.
2. Populate it with the internal data (a one-time operation).
3. Turn the current dungeon achievement into a meta-achievement, requiring the path achievements.
4. Profit! (i.e., players can open the dungeon meta and check the sub-achievement to see which paths they haven’t done)
In fact, if your achievement system supports meta-metas (i.e., more than 2-level achievement dependency), I’d suggest going a bit further and do this:
1. Create new achievements for killing each boss in each path.
2. Make the path completion achievement (for each path) depend on having all the relevant boss achievements (for new players; for existing ones, copy from internal data).
3. Make the dungeon completion achievement depend on getting all the path achievements for that dungeon.
4. Profit!
So, for example, for Caudecus’ Manor, you would create the following achievements:
BA1. Killed the Prototype Golem
BA2. Killed Captain DeLana
BA3. Killed Gunpowder Morgan
BA4. Killed Bloody Victoria
BA5. Killed Frost
BA6. Killed Bridgette
BA7. Killed Mad Martha
BA8. Killed Turmaine
BA9. Killed Sure-Shot Seamus
BA10. Killed Wahlen
BA11. Killed Vallog
BA99. (optionally other mini-bosses you consider fundamental)
Then add the meta-achievements:
PA0. Story mode meta-achievement requires BA1 and BA2.
PA1. Asura path meta-achievement requires BA3, BA4 and BA5.
PA2. Seraph path meta-achievement requires BA6, BA7 and BA8.
PA3. Butler path achievement requires BA9, BA10 and BA11.
And finally the meta-meta-achievement:
CMA. Caudecus’s Manor dungeon meta-achievement requires PA0, PA1, PA2 and PA3.
Opening CMA in the achievement UI would display the PA achievement as “children”, and opening each of those would display the relevant boss kills as children. This way players could easily see which paths they were missing or, in case they had done some incomplete runs (ex., joined half way through a dungeon, or left before the end), they could also see which bosses they had missed.

Robert was let go awhile back.
They add new achievments every kittening two weeks, but they weren’t able to keep track of completed/uncompleted paths.
Just keep dishing out new shallow gem store driven non-content and keep the old design flaws in game until the end of time.

you should just make another tab on hero panel “dungeon” with all dungeons path list, with a flag on dungeon done… no need achievement, no need strange or difficoult program code… just a flag that remind u what u’ve done… there is already something like that otherwise we will take the daily chest more than once, so just take that counter and write it on the new hero panel tab
Not that it’s really a problem for me, but one year later and you still can’t do this.

Considering that the completed paths should already be flagged in some way, wouldn’t it be possible to change the “suggested location” part (whose usefulness could be debated…i mean, the dungeon locations aren’t exactly a mystery) in the dungeon achievements in a " paths to complete" list?
Or even just a “suggested path” that just puts the first path not done yet in that dungeon would help.

did a dungeon this afternoon and already forgot which path it was.
if i can’t keep track of the one i did today how am I supposed to remember the one I did last year.
Even if Arenanet decided to give other parts of the game more love than the dungeons, living story turning to an end might free up some time for one of the devs.
I won’t say this is a small job, or everything is already there, I understand the problems of agile developer work, these features have to go through the system, get prioritized planned and executed.
I’m just giving it an extra vote which should matter when they kitten the demand for this feature and thus assign it a duely needed priority :p (not that my vote is that important but any vote should matter).

i know which path it was again just by looking at youtube videos of the paths and recognizing it. but that would be another 10 minutes of game time if only there would have been some way to just see which path i did :p
Yeah it kinda sucks, but the only solution is to write it down. Dungeons aren’t really a priority for anet now, unless they are making the dredge fractal worse, in which case, they have plenty of time.

I say once you have obtained dungeon master title, I should not need to bother remembering which toon has done what anymore !!!
one of the title’s perk should be to allow any character you have to open any dungeon instance you wish to open, that alone would make the title actually worthwhile.

In any case, for dungeons like Sorrow’s Embrace, CoF, if you haven’t got the achievement, it’s usually quite obvious that most likely you haven’t done SE P2, CoF P3, etc.
Robert Hrouda, why don’t just add a floating box, like with the items, that shows up when you hover over the dung achievements? We don’t need it to be pretty, just need to be effective…

Man this is so sad. They clearly have that information available, because it is necessary for the achievements. They just can’t be asked to put in an UI for it. Was cool to see some red though.
