Last night we were doing Caudecus Manor explorable and were having a particularly hard time, as it was the first time in the explorable mode for all of us in the group. A person left after the first boss (butler route). We replaced them but after the second boss (and a lot of wipes) frustration made three people leave. It was just two of us now and we really wanted to finish it, so I went outside and found two more people, but when we went into the dungeon, we entered a fresh, reset instance. The other guy was left in the old, half completed instance, meaning the party was in two instances of the dungeon.

I was puzzled. Not to mention demoralized because getting those two bosses took a lot of effort. Now I had to apologize to the guys because I couldn’t find the motivation to play any more.

What happened? User error? Bug? Working as intended? How does it work?

When u want to reset a dungeon go in another one, go back in the Dungeon u want to clear, tada. Reseted.

But he didn’t want the dungeon to reset, he wanted to finish from where he left off after people in his party left. This happened to me earlier this evening. Someone in our group left so we had to find another person. I went out of the dungeon, got someone after a couple of mins, only to go back in and find myself back at the beginning while the rest of my group were where we left off. This was in TA and we were on the 3rd champion. We tried having one person from the half finished group go out and go back in to try to get us in but he ended up in the beginning again too.

Is this a bug or was this intended? If it was, then I feel this is a problem. Between armor costs and the time it takes to complete a dungeon, I want to be sure that I can go back where I left off, as long as I don’t log out.

I’d like to know this too. My party had issues getting Arah to reset quite a few times today. We’ve done relogging, repartying, trying a different party lead, etc. At one point when I was by myself, I was able to get a clean instance. However, the moment I entered the party, it reverted back to the old one, despite after a party disband and relog.
