Hey you’re in luck, I did path 2 yesterday and path 1 today. We had someone in the team that knew what they were doing most of the time so it was faster.
The worse part is that you get no reward for wasting 3 hours in there. Over these path 1 and path 2, 6 hours wasted, only blues and green, and 1 yellow. Nothing else notable.
I hate arah, and I’m never doing it again after I get dungeon master achievement. it’s a waste of time and resource.
Arah is generally very unforgiving to new players, be prepared to sink hours into the paths, but this is a learning curve.
you can bring path 1 down to a somewhat nice 40 minutes quite easily once you know the route, you can also skip Korga.
same can be said for path 2, easy just has a bit of length to it.
path 3 is the farmable route, despite the recent door-blocking change it’s still a very quick route to run and is worth your time to learn if you plan on farming the arah gear.
path 4 for the most part should be avoided, spend enough time on the forums and you’ll see all the threads on path 4 and Simin who is most likely going to block your progress from completing the path.
My group has done every other dungeon, learning all the strategies and boss cues. The only reason we did arah was for the dungeon master title. Most of the paths took us about 2 hours if not 3 for our first time. Simin in the seer’s path alone took us over an hour before we decided to quit. The next day, we re-evaluated our strategies and finally took her down.
There’s quite a few areas where you can skip mobs, provided the people in your group can utilize limited space to dodge roll and not aggro everything. If we knew this, we probably could have shaved 40 mins or more off some of the runs. I found arah more challenging than most of the other dungeons, so if you have not mastered your profession, learning mob cues, found efficient ways to switch your traits/weapons/skill, etc. it could be a tough dungeon. We had no one to guide us, but our prior experience with dungeons has helped us through Arah. We tried not to use the wiki to make “puzzle” parts more interesting. :P
The correct answer is: depends on the group. With good, experienced team the times given by AusterlitZ are about right. My 1st runs took me (and my casual guild) 3-5h for each path.

Our record is 29 mins in Path 3,with minimal skipping(No bosses,just a few trash groups.)
When you’re there for the first time,it will be considerably longer,but it gets lower and lower,just keep doing it and you’ll be fine
Adapt all you want, but they’ll still steamroll you. It’s unforgiving. Yeah I’m going for DM and Arah 4 is all I need left, and I dungeon daily.
I’d have to say the bulk of dying is trying to skip. Skipping in an unknown dungeon is just asking for trouble.
Ye, I did Arah, about 90 times. Skipping is really easy, if you die for 1st time, think about what killed and how you can avoid that. I was skipping mobs solo in AC at lvl 11. Think about that, 1 hit and you’re dead.
Yes it is. Four noobs will have a hard time killing most bosses without wiping, whether or not you have a fifth that can tell you tactics.

Okay, you’re right on that. In fact, I met a lot of people with that title being horribly bad.
I don’t think even my solo run on p2 took 3 hours, even with all the wipes (not sure about exact time as I afked a lot). Last p3 duo took 39 minutes (don’t have the video on this computer so not 100% sure).
If you know what you are doing it won’t take long.

The OP obviously doesn’t know what he is doing. If he did he wouldn’t ask how long a run takes now would he?

Fine, if you are very very bad each path takes 12 hours or even failure.
So anything between 20 mins – 12 hours/failure.
That should cover up all potential and not so potential cases.
Anyways point was that if paths seem to take too long maybe it’s time to step-up your game and that a personal skill can make a huge difference.
