May i ask why Yusija is using a Phalanx build in a two elementalists group ? I thought it was not that usefull in that kind of setup. Do i miss something ?

I’ll try and keep the Phalanx answer short to avoid another argument thread.
We picked Phalanx since Staff dps is 15% more than LH, that doesn’t even include meteor shower. Empower Allies adds 3% to everyone so the difference between a Phalanx with Staff Ele and Dps Warr with Scepter Ele is really low. Imo Phalanx is better and stacking ele wouldn’t of fit any of those bosses.

Quick questions, IB5’ing the shard — just for kittens and grins, or does it actually do something? Also, what consumable buff (blue…apple? with an up arrow) did the thief and mesmer have on their bars?

It does get Defiance so we assumed it would also trigger Tempest Defense

The buff is the metabolic primer, because food is too expensive

Ah, gotcha. I suppose there’s no real advantage from the primer, but I guess that would make this unrestricted as it’s gem-store only? (If the distinction even still exists…)

Always love watching these p4 clears. I liked the scorpion wire tricks at Grenth — seems like a significant time saver.

I already used one in CoF P3 and that one got accepted as restricted. And according to Brazil it’s allowed because all it does is expand the food duration

We ranged it for few reasons:
1. Not have to waste time on killing gorillas
2. Bring a mesmer instead of guardian
3. It’s barely any time loss, we 4 manned it faster than LOD 5 manned it by meleeing and 10s slower than in DnT’s old record.
So overall ranging it was better for us.

Well with with 2 staff eles and 4 icebows its not needed to melee it for the full duration anyway. So it makes sense. Surprised you took the mesmer and only used 1 portal. Pretty nice run overall though.

Took mesmer mainly for time warp :P We thought of guard 1st but realized that aside from melandru melee it would’ve been a waste.

I am in aww of your elementalists and your party’s ability to complete this particular path in slightly less than 19 minutes.

Waiting for the sub 18 minutes now, with less random fgs pickups ( ;D ) and no risen aggro on lupi.
