intentionally kicking members in dungeon
Ever thought of why? I believe many of us have never been kicked once.
If you are causing trouble, making bad commentaries about others, trying to show your superiority play skills, and beign rude, well you should expect beign kicked.
It requires 2 votes at least to be kicked, so 2 people think they have enough reasons to want you out of the dungeon. Think about it.
You must have really kitten them off. Did you not listen and run off and aggro a billion mobs three times in a row? If so, I’d kick you too. <3

this is not just happened to me folks i am just telling you what i have seen and also experienced…
yeah it require 2 votes but come to think of it. they known each other and your just in gw2lfg who just joined
you may instigate that i may be the reason for being kicked but i am just being silent and doing my role and so thus others
well i am just telling this so others would know how to deal from this and so does anet can do something about this… this can cause an abuse for some
and why wait up to the ending to a dungeon run when kicking when you can kick immediately if a member cause trouble or rudeness or just useless.
(edited by dikiboy.7291)
and it is not the matter of why kicked… you can always kick someone when they get into your nerves…
it is when the kicking happened.
e.g. in cof when fighting the last boss and your into defeating it that is when the kicking occur that you may never noticed it.
for me i just noticed a green checked mark at the upper left part of the screen then a member disappeared while tanking gaheron
i say this may be intentional and can be abuse by others
We never kick anyone but yesterday we took one random guardian and on the end we was so close to kick that !@#$.
- 32 fractals and he dont know what is combo field and finisher,
- We start in water. He multiple times click on leave this fractal because “dolphin phase is imposible to make”.
- Mindlesly rush into mobs in Ascalon and die on every group and cry.
- On boss die in the middle of meteors and starts yelling why noone come and ress him.
- In Colossus fractal die 5 times for too many hammerstacks and twice while pickup hammer with low HP.
- He also kill last cultist so mobs spawn in both sides.
- Our mesmer must port him through winds because he still falling (We try him learn how to use stability but after 10 minutes fo chating we found when he dont buy any stability skill at all and havent skill points for that (on lvl 32 fractals kitten .
- At all he die and cry on almost every encounter.
- His failuring dont stop him in writing tons of advices about what we must do what we do wrong and how bad players we are.
Some players simply deserve a kick.

Did you check his Fractal lvl, AR gear?
Maybe it was a guy below 30 lvl that jast go for daily without the proper skills.
We should be able to see others fractal lvl like character lvl.

It’s his own fault for not kicking and blocking from the very start.
that is why there is always a kick option for one who deserve it… and you can always do that in the middle or early part of a run
the topic is the kicking someone at the end of the run is regardless whether he is a great player or what seems too intentional to just kitten someone off
idk if you can report that or what cause it seems you dont have any idea of what just happend when you get kicked …
just to add another example. we are on a group running AC i think, a member tried kicking another member ( last boss) not knowing that he is the host of that instance idk who second it, but we all went out and waste all that time for nothing. well i just think that is karma but i just want anet to do something on this because this can be abused by some…
FYI for those people who may think otherwise… i am always doing dungeon runs on AC at COF and i know the tricks of each well except path 3 of COF which i rarely run.
always use my guard with full exotics in altrustic healer or crit healer support often last one to go down
also has necro full exotics support build or condition build.
I seldom use my ranger with full exotics cause of being a glass cannon
maybe it would be nice if you have some sort of trail on who the ones who kicked who
just to have a documentation and a deterrent for abuse
only time i would do something like kick someone at the last boss is if he is talking crap on team been flaming the team saying you guys are garbage stuff to demoralize the team. Not following team directions if u do any of those ya ill kick you before end boss and get someone else a free end boss whose not a bch.
As much as I enjoy this game, I recommend to all my friends and family NOT to purchase Guild Wars 2. Not only does Anet do nothing about people griefing ‘newbs’, its largely a celebrated part of the game. Not only does it require a mere 2 votes to kick a member you are not allowed to vote “no” so you can do nothing to stop it. If you get kicked from a group, hopefully you remember their 15 character names perfectly, because the group chat will be deleted from your chat log when you are kicked.
I was kicked from a group merely for trying to defend someone who had not done the instance before, and needed an explanation. They voted us both out right before the boss died. We received no chest, no boss loot, no end of dungeon reward which is another way Arenanet facilitates griefing. The business model of the game is you pay 60 dollars upfront, and hopefully the other players make you miserable enough that you want to quit. Seems like a downward spiral to me.

:O you don kick him for that? You have so pure soul. If he do that in my party, i kick him, report him, block him, insult him and maybe hack his acount. Just for start…
I have never actually kicked anyone for groups that I start, since when I start a group, it’s usually with people I know. There was this one time that I joined a PuG looking for experienced players that had a guy who would never respond to chat. The instance host kept trying to instruct him to follow our strategy, but the guy would not cooperate. The group kept asking if the quiet guy knew what he was doing. When doing the eternal flame part in CoF p2, the quiet guy kept killing acolytes out of order or would run around like a headless chicken, making the fight take an unnecessarily longer amount of time (maybe like an extra 5 mins?). Being the guy tanking Gaheron, I decided to do two roles to help the team out by coordinating the acolytes with them. In the end, they kicked the quiet guy before the end chest. I did feel kinda bad for the quiet guy, but at the same time, the group made their intentions clear that they wanted experienced players.
I have to agree that kicking players is absolutely rude, I have never been kicked but i can only imagine what one will feel if they did get to the final boss and then get booted.
I run mainly with my guild and we take pugs, even some who talk a lot of trash and while we outnumber them and can easily kick them, i never allow this sort of behavior. Even players who we cannot tolerate, we still run them through all the way since that will be last time we encounter them and why stoop to their level or even lower?
I definately think that a report last party option should be in the game that will allow devs to look at last party composition or something and such players should be penalized somehow.
Well, kicking a player because the person doesn’t know how to play but is willing to follow directions is rude. However, I think that it is perfectly viable to kick someone who simply refuses to follow with the party and makes the dungeon more difficult for everyone.
I’ve had that happen to me plenty of times. It was so irritating.
I don’t enjoy kicking a pug nor do I kick everyone but if you act illiterate, I’m sorry, you’ll be kicked.

“Hey friends and Family, don’t buy the game because you’ll get kicked from dungeons, it’s not like we could all group up together and them either, sorry. Don’t buy this game.”
And business model? This game is 4 months old.
WOW Didn’t even get a decent Vote-kick system until at least 4 years after it’s release.. So i think you should stop over-exaggerating.

I’ve heard of people being kicked right at the end so that the party can invite their guildies in. That way the guildies get the experience and final loot, and they didn’t have to run the dungeon. It’s pretty shameful, but people will do it regardless.
There isn’t really much you can do to avoid it, and I don’t think there’s much Anet can do to help fix it. I believe that, in WoW, when you kicked someone you had to give a reason. Most of the time the reasons I saw were “jkgld” so I don’t think those were ever really used for much of anything, but oh well.
I’d say the best thing you can do to avoid this, is join a guild that runs dungeons. Run with people you know. That way, the risk of a PuG kicking you for apparently no reason is avoided.

My solution that I do now for these kinds of group is simple.
If I get an odd feeling from a group, I’ll be the one to open the dungeon. This way, if they kick others, or me, the dungeon resets and kicks everyone.
Worse then the 2 vote kicking is the leader at the end of the dungeon run leaving the party and everyone being kicked out of the dungeon with no end reward, except maybe the leader who quickly skipped the cut scene to grab their loot and leave.
For now I suggest running dungeons with guildies, they are less likely to be mean or troll you.
“Itβs his own fault for not kicking and blocking from the very start.”
- This is a tad elitist BUT sometimes you really do get a complete doofus. I’ve also been kicked at the endboss in cof (I assume so a guildie could get his tokens) after a great run with 0 talk and 0 problems. If you have the ability to kick, make it that after 3/4 of the way its not available. If you’ve defeated 3 out of 4 bosses and you haven’t been kicked either the dungeons going well or like the guy above, you’re feeling masochistic.
… i am speechless………..

In my experience, kicking people from dungeon groups for the lulz is not a very common practice. I run dungeons with pugs on a daily basis and I have not yet encountered this behavior.
If you get kicked once or twice you might just have bad luck with groups, but if this is a routine occurrence for you you’re probably doing something to deserve it.

I would have kicked him. If someone isn’t pulling their weight then they should get kicked, plain and simple.

ON the other hand it didnt really need it till they put in dungeon finder 4 years after its release. Prior to that all invites/kicks were the responsibility of the group leader but when tossing random folks togeather with no true leader votekick became needed.
That said I think vote kick should have been set to 3 people wanting to kick in a 5 man group or 2 to kick in a smaller group. IF the majority wants to kick fine but not just 2 folks with potentialy 3 opposed to the kick. Also no kicks while a boss fight is engaged.
i never got kicked from any dungeon group but i agree completely – vote kick system should be changed asap. recent changes to fractals encourage people to vote kick pugs to invite their guildies for “quick and easy daily” – this is just not right
