it dosent matter if you nerf COF
Really… which Cores & Loadstones exactly come from COF? (& might possibly go up in price when speedclears get “ANETTED”?)
Arah is terrible.
Doing up to 60g/hour in Arah. Can’t be so terrible.
How do you nerf CoE? Only allow chests to give blue items? Oh wait, they already do that :/
Also Dub, you must be confusing gold with silver.
I’m assuming he’s doing a running service of some kind.

Using exploits.
I hardly doubt that. Even with exploits, and I know a bunch of the ones he uses (or at least, I assume they’re the same ones), there is a limit to how fast you can clear the paths. Especially since they’re all sequence checked, so you can’t just skip to endbosses and kill them anymore. So, my bet would be that he’s doing something like 20min p4’s and running them for PUGs.

I know how much you hate exploits, but I really don’t mind that dub uses them to his advantage. It might be because I (and dub for that matter) come from GW1, where most of the SC community was pretty layed back when it came to exploits. There was always some outcry, but most people just accepted it as a way of life. Especially since Anet usually didn’t do anything to fix them anyway.
It took them 5 years to fix an exploit where you could use a consumable that would rez you to teleport rez people through certain gates. Even though that glitch was reported back when that thing came out. It took a while to perfect that exploit though, since it involved camera positioning etc.

Not even using huge exploits. Either running path 2 solo, which takes around 25 min, and invite 4 people for some gold at the end or du/3men path 4 and sell 4 spots at bloodstone shard for a quite nice amount of gold
Additionally Arah Tokens are worth pretty much when you got one of the recipes.
@Nikaido: Do you consider skipping 4 silver mobs at the door as an exploit? I don’t.
Same with skipping lupicus in path 1/2. Arenanet made him skippable.
If you see those things as exploits, glitching dhuum in gw1 was aswell. 99,x% of gw1 players would have been exploiters then. Anyway even without exploiting we dont need longer for our Arah runs duo than DnT in their guides. You waste more time on running than you may believe, fighting is just a small piece.
Things that i consider as exploits are those who arenanet fixes immediately – sentinel rifle, bottle or bovine potion as example.
Anets (first) rezzscroll fix actually didn’t fix it, just made it a bit more complicated.

That’s the case with almost all their ‘fixes’. It was the same with the 14 hero party bug. They ‘fixed’ it at first, because PUGs were doing it, although there was a screenshot from 2007 from 4 people, each with 3 hero’s in UW. They figured it out really fast, and managed to keep it a secret for almost 4 years, which is quite impressive. After they ‘fixed’ that one, it took us like 20 minutes to figure out how to work our way around it.

I am of the same opinion. Came from GW1 and never cared. Also, until they provide viable ways to make money in the game vs. time input that doesn’t involve playing the trading post, I say, why get angry about it? That’s what happens when you corner people into limited options to grind out money.

I think I’d rather see ppl making money offering a real Service (running, w/e) and atleast playing PARTS of the game, than what all the Flippers & botters do all day….
Even when you try to show the exploits to Anet, they’re all like “yeah yeah whatever we already know” without even making sure you’re talking about the same ones

That’s a very strange argument. Almost everything you do in game makes money for the time spent. Your concept of viability is only in comparison to other things that can be done in game.

Well, the way I see it:
In my opinion, dungeons are lacking on providing money vs the inflation of the economy, the reward is always 26s at the end + 16s end boss (+more if omnom bar) + rng on core/mat drops. Never changes, even though the price of your legendary goal keeps going up.

…well what you get at the end, just makes ppl speedrun past everything & glitch everything harder instead of doing all the fights. Pretty sure we’ve all been over this a 100 times by now and so has Anet…
I think one major reason FOW & UW were also better reward wise was that fact you could get shards as drops just by clearing the trash mobs. We don’t get any Crafting Shards from the trash here.
And the ones we get from the chests just makes the disparity issue worse when there’s obviously some dungeons that most people hate running. … in the case of some of these, like Charged whatevers… We’d need the wambo combo of lots of Fragments dropping all the time, along with lots of PvP’ers using their Laurels+Glory to make them into Loadstones. …That’d already be happening maybe if there was atleast a place to get lots of Shards and Frags to drop from trash mobs but there just isn’t. (and there COULD be)
