For the past few weeks i have noticed that when i’m running fractals my ping is all over the place going from a 60-80 average to spiking upwards of 4,000 and it only happens in fractals has anyone had this happening

Is it happening at a specific hour?

I’ve personally been having a problem that happens every single night anywhere between 10 pm to midnight where for some unknown reason my whole internet connection is Ebola. I have no idea why, but restarting the router always fixes it.

Is your issue only happening on GW2?

Oh so I actually bothered to upload an video demonstrating the crap that I deal with, but I forgot about it. It was from this december, and it’s still the exact same problem I have late at night and don’t know why. I got new hardware and everything.

Everything just freezes for like 20 seconds then loads all at once. Happens on all applications using a connection, don’t know what the deal is.

yeah that is about the same thing that is happening to me but its only on gw2 and only in fractals

This sounds like a latency issue. In other words people in your area are all getting on at this time and it overloads the available bandwidth in the area. So the company you have has to run more fiber optics out to your area (I think) in order to fix this. I might be using some terms wrong here but that is the general idea. If you call you’re provider and tell them what’s happening you might be able to convince them to up your speed for free or try to fix the issue in the area.

Mmmm, I’ve called my ISP over 5 dozen times since last fall and have gone through three modems and two routers along with having 5 different representatives come over to make sure nothing was wrong.

Trust me they won’t up my speed, 50/5 is the absolute highest they will ever offer unless you pay for business class internet which costs ~$300 a month
