As the title states.

Instead of waiting for the group to fall on you, or wait in LA for the right chat message, be active and go to gw2lfg.com, and either find a post you like, or start one on your own.
When whispered, take initiative, start the group, don’t wait to find an already made group.

As for the built in tool. This is not very clear since not many ppl know it, and very few know it and use it.

Whenever you log in and in the mood to play with people, turn the looking for group flag on. this is done via contacts menu, and when you do that, you’ll see other people in your area with the option turned on.

This isn’t the best solution, but it’s still built into the game.

This, combined with the use of gw2lfg, should be more than enough untill a built in tool is implemented.

They should just add a dungeon finder and not force people into a website that only gets you gold-sellers spam instead of actual help with finding a group.

ive never got gold seller spam that i could conclusively link to the website either lol. i barley get it anymore and when i do i doubt its from the website.

On that note:
When making a LFG, please include your class and level.
When making a LFM, include what classes you want.
When the group is full, delete the LFM post..

People underestimate gw2lfg. I regularly get full (and competent) Arah groups in around 10-20 minutes just by using the website and announcing in Cursed Shore. For most other dungeons I’ll post on gw2lfg, go grab a drink, and by the time I get back I already have 4 self-invites.

In all honesty those who complain about getting groups being difficult simply are not trying hard enough.

And to all those people whining about a built-in LFG, ANet has already stated that they’re working on it so relax.

I also have not gotten gold seller spam from gw2lfg.com. In general, I’ve had good experiences with it. I don’t mind people asking for players in chat either because not everyone uses gw2lfg.com and sometimes just seeing a group forming in chat inspires me to join them for a dungeon or activity I probably wouldn’t have done otherwise.
