Updrafts might actually make it harder since you are more likely to hit the enrage in a low man setting if you use the updrafts and gorseval will be much more likely to eat the adds which will hurt your sustain. Plus you will have more orb issues. there is definitely a point where no-glide actually becomes the better/easier option than actually gliding.
