Me getting knocked by fall dmg on the first portal skip cost us 1 second. It was the first time it happened too in 3h of attempts and maybe on the destroyer 1 sec as i had 12 might(worst fight for me T_T).

Well we prestacked might on the portal so every1 blinking up would mean sacrifing 1 utility for all eles=less dps and no prestack might.

Hmm might can be fine like that yea but every ele being forced to drop 1 utility might make it slower.

If I remember correctly, there was a talk that it was possible to kill the carrier fast enough that you could theorically wait 20seconds for the 2nd portal. I think you guys are factoring in the CD of portal to slow down the times between that right?

I don’t remember any talk about such a thing and the max we had was around 5-7 seconds I think with 2 mesmers (so you get faster at clowncar).
And no we are not factoring the CD of portal, we just went as fast as possible on the second boss/clowncar.

I don’t think so we just had ridiculous RNG on 2nd boss and carrier. We also did some stuff that made our run faster from 1st portal to 2nd one but didn’t kill the NPC as reliably

IF you don’t kill the NPC then isn’t it pointless to even get to such a huge cd? Hoping on RNG that he dies seems kittened then having a sure way to kill him.

EDIT: Btw im talking about waiting afk on the spot where you place the portal. Not when the clown car dies.(About the portal cd) . Even with insane rng I can’t see 18sec afk cuz of portal.

It was still during our testing period so of course it was not perfect

If you want to throw more fuel into the fire you could also mention that Hater’s timer starts late, or that Eraser’s ended 1 frame too early

While i understand that these timers might not be 100% accurate all the time, you nevertheless have to start it when the first party member starts moving, and not you.

Deathly’s was slow to start, but I was using Hater’s PoV and it was only off by ~25 milliseconds and either way it was 3:02. In YouTube time it started at 0:04 and ended at 3:06 as well. I don’t just go by what the clocks in the videos say. If we clocked milliseconds in the record boards this would’ve been much tougher because of timer oddities, but since we only go to seconds it’s 3:02 for sure.

If another approver would like to contest the 3:02 time, please let me know and we can talk.

I am not an approver but I’d still contest it.

This is the start. Admittedly you can’t see kitten in the preview, but the animation of Windborne Speed of one of the Eles already started.

This is the end, the Destroyer is still alive but he dies in the next frame. As you can see on the lower timer (the one that I added) the time is 3:03.016.

Also Haters run started at 0:03 YouTube time (http://i.imgur.com/znt5PQ6.jpg) and you are right, it ended at 3:06

PS: The digits behind the semicolon are not milliseconds, they are the frames. There is a different option to display milliseconds

Checking the timer (excluding downloading because my internet is kitten) took me literally 5 minutes.
And I wouldn’t have noticed if your timer was correct, just do it properly next time

As already said, I think Cheezy cares about the second because for SE p3, the difference between records is seconds. That 1 second could be the difference between the current record and the new record. It doesn’t matter so much on paths like P4 where runs are 15 – 20 minutes and each new records shaves minutes off the last.

I’m only going to say one thing on this matter-Whether or not there is/isn’t inaccuracies with timers and the overall time for the path, it’s up to the moderators of the site to give the final opinion on path time/whether it’s restricted or not etc. I see the arguments over times here pointless, if someone authorized to approve records sees this as 3:03 rather than 3:02 then we can adjust the time, however until such a decision is made(if it is) arguing over the time here is futile. The final say will come from gw2dungeons.net, not any of us.

Every record i have approved I have checked each timer (check against youtube time and each povs clock). They may be a few milliseconds late on some povs. But you cant expect us to download and watch a video frame by frame to check these to 100% accuracy. A 1 second difference is not worth disputing unless you have a record within 1-2 seconds to submit. If you get a 3:02 and submit that then we can review the timers to see which deserves to be the current record. And then correct them as needed. Otherwise this whole thing is frankly stupid and childish.

This would be true if there were another record submitted within 1 second of this one. As it stands, that is not the case. I’ve rewatched this so many times it hurts and I see 3:02 more often than I see 3:03. The evidence presented is mere milliseconds one way or the other and I don’t feel comfortable changing it unilaterally. If the other approvers want to put it to a vote, that would be fine with me.

Competitive behavior is great, but childish quarrel and bickering reflects poorly on everyone.

I’m amazed that people defend an objectivly wrong timer, whether it is a time difference at the end or not. Not saying that it should be denied, but you know, this whole argument about whether it is 3:02 or 3:03 would not have happened with an accurate timer.
