reaper/scourge in POF
I use power necro in T4s and challenge motes and condi while raiding and dont have any issues.
But i appreciate the “dead” weight pun
Restore that which was lost. And all shall be as one.”
well at the very least players will stop demanding necro be bad damage, as the excuse, ‘it has two hp bars it would be op’ will go away. So I’m hopefully it will be balanced to be competitive damage in realistic scenarios.
Do you think any of the 2 specs will see more play in high lvl fractals/raids? Or will they likely both still be dead weight
I think it’s likely that no one has any idea. Go back and look at what people thought before HoT, the first week of HoT, and compare it to the meta 6 weeks later. A lot of predictions were wrong.

That’s a bad excuse, that “second hp bar” (which is not) is THE only form of survivability necromancers have. It’s like saying “ele can’t have high damage because they have a lot of mobility and invulns” it doesn’t make any sense.
Scourge I can see some use for, as they can keep up 100% general condition duration on top of having instant cast squadwide 2 condition cleanse on a 5 second (4 traited) cool down. Surely this would be helpful in Slothosaur and other condition encounters, since this doesn’t cut their damage to supply (and is actually a source for some).

Necro has other survivability. Good access to blinds, chill and weakness make necro great at rolling through trash mobs. Unfortunately, debuffing is useless on boss monsters. While blocks/evades/distorts work on both bosses and trash mobs.
