Several times now , especially in the arah explorable paths, i have seen 2-3 players in the lfg tool selling dungeon runs. Because the “lfg system abuse” report option covers such a broad scope of offenses, i am not completely sure whether anet views this as a reportable transgression.
For the sake of clarity anet should implement a separate report option for this, because in my opinion this is a potentially game-breaking offense and i will tel you why:

On several occasions now i have seen the party description read something like: ‘selling arah p4 8g, pay before, on last boss’ or ‘selling arah p4 8g, pay before, last boss on 10% health’, and i think to myself what unsuspecting players where potentially kicked at the last moment so that others can make some quick gold.

I do think that anet should get a handle on this early on, and make clear that this will not be tolerated.

Here we go again, assuming that people are kicking innocent randoms to sell paths.

the problem is not whether they are or not, the problem is that allowing people to use the lfg tool for this will make it very easy.

if there is something i do not understand then by all means explain it to me, instead of throwing around statements and insults.

And what’s wrong with it? Demand exists.

You’re essentially insulting us legitimate sellers with such a broad claim of kicking innocent players that’s why we get annoyed at these non stop threads.

If people are skilled enough to complete arah paths with 1-3 people why not sell the extra spots especially when there is a lot of demand for it. ANet themselves have stated in the past that they have no issue with selling dungeon spots.

Where is my option to report people who are clueless?

Its not like you jump into Arah, hide behind a tree and look for path-buyers to scam. Everyone can see where you are, therefore you have to complete the path. And then, when everyone has paid, you can choose:
Kick them and eat 4 reports or hit the endboss 3 times (takes a few sec) and get the end reward.

So, why again should I scam people?

2 things

1) lfg tool is not for selling runs thus the use is improper
2) most people selling arah paths are using glitches to obtain an unfair amount of gold…
If you skip for yourself is a thing, if you glitch skip and sell the run its not much different from snowflake abuse (in my opinion).

If a player is legit soloing lupicus and bosses (or doing with friends) and in the end sells paths without the lfg tool…its fine for me.

1. I thought it was “for” looking for a group. What you do with that group is whose business?
2. “most” implies you have some statistics or information to support that claim. I’d love to know it.

1) looking for =/= selling ….but since it can be ambiguos it should be specified by anet.

2) 100% of people i heard……makes me suspect its a common practice……
expecially once i’ve seen it.
You can even understand it from the description …… at least on old lfg.

You’re naive if you think anet would ban anyone that doesn’t endanger their precious economy.

haviz.1340 has a point. As long as it doesn’t affect the economy not much is going to be done. Just goes to show that whether a government is leading a country or a game, history will repeat itself. Of course selling on LFG is wrong and they know it. Take it as a lesson, those in power have only their best interest at heart not yours. The way they truly see it: They have worked hard to get where they are, what have you done? They can only feel contempt towards anyone who complains regardless of how sweet and kind they may sound, and regardless of how seemingly angry they may get to remarks such as these. So what can we do? Have fun playing, appreciate the hard work that was put in making the game and keep in mind that if there is nothing in it for a-net you’re not going to get justice.
