so hows PVE raids doings?
Progressivly more difficult dungeon, with infinite levels of difficulty, a number of changes to all dungeons, and more changes soon to come.
what im trying to ask is, its been a few months since the game was released.. how is end game PVE nowadays? dungeons are hard with exciting boss tactics and stuff?
fun? anything?
It’s the same.
No.
No.
No.
FotM is more the same but with Agony, a gear check mechanic. The drops there blow everything else out of the water though.
so you would say that if im looking for fun pve with raids, challenging and unique and fun boss tactics and stuff like that i should look somewhere else?
what is the end game of this game supposed to be anyway? pvp focused?

not with Anet current approach, most of their efforts are focused on PvE as of now
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.
If you’re looking for 10-25-40 man raids, I recomend you try another game. Guildwars is about small groups coordination.

Basically, they haven’t released much of anything to finish the game since release. Dungeons have only really been changed to remove popular farming paths that the devs find out about. The boss mechanics are all effectively exactly the same as they were when you first quit.
I think ANet thinks their endgame focus is supposed to be everything. Esports quality spvp, dungeons, skin farming, fractal loot treadmill, legendary farming, etc.. I’ll leave it up to you to decide how well you think each is panning out.
As you level up in Fractals Lichy it feels more and more like a raid fight. Even though it is only 5 man; I am having a lot of fun with fractals. You start seeing some ascended tier gear drop after level 10, and after level 20 some nice weapons start dropping as well.
Hit me up in game anytime if you feel like running some fractals to check them out.
Here is some more info on drops / crafted items that you can get from running FotM:

More mobs + 1 hit KO bosses doesn’t equal progressive difficulty. It’s an artificial difficulty.

thing is, i don’t like tank and spank. i remember killing zone bosses like that swamp dragon thingy in one of the southern zones and what it basically was, to my disappointment, was tank and spank.
same with most bosses if not all. sure you can slap some odd machanic here and there but its all the same in this game and i think its because everyone can do everything in this game.. maybe thats the price we pay, i dunno…
any changes in that department?

Some fights are tank and spank, but take the Mossman in the swamps fractal. I’m at level 14, and there is a noticeable difference to being aware and avoiding getting one shot…even for a tank and spank type fight. I’m finding that old being “raid aware” as the fights get harder. So even if it seems tank and spank on some fights early on in levels; it can go south quickly in higher levels if your not paying attention!
Other fights I notice the higher you go in levels more adds spawn on boss, and of course agony is something to consider.
The runs themselves are awesome. I would say the fractal with the giant is my favorite. You have to carry a hammer up the Cliffside to break the seals holding the giant. While the boss fights here seem tank and spank with hammer interaction, the whole fractal itself is filled with fun challenges working your way up and breaking seals. It really gets down to having good group involvement.
Another nice aspect of leveling fractals; is that the higher you go in levels; pugs actually get better!
I think the fractals are a very good indicator of a positive future of pve content going forward! I feel that in future fights we will see less tank and spank for bosses and more strategy involved for fighting, just based off the fun elements that anet put into running the fractals themselves. They offer again good group interaction and good teamwork!

I love GW2 and will continue to be my game of choice in the foreseeable future BUT if you want RAID content GW2 is not it. I suggest Rift or WoW.
Jade Quarry – Team Savvy – #1 NA WvW Solo Guild
is a game for casual tbh, pve is boring , class are unbalanced and all is focused around gold that you MUST buy . dont play it if you look for challenge or well structured fight.
Have you fought Lupicus or Subject Alpha? They are definitely not tank’n’spank and require a lot more practice/skill than the storymode zhaitan encounter. The world bosses are all just zerg/lag encounters. It’s explorable dungeons that are the more challenging ones (not including fractals). Especially if you go in with a group who hasn’t done it before and if you don’t know the tactics.
• Have you heard of the city? The ancient uru? Where there was power to write worlds •
so if i go back to play this game and go into explorable dungeons i will see some advanced boss tactics?
No.
Explorable dungeon bosses, with the exception of pupicus, boil down to, Deeps as fast as you can while not dying.

If I may ask a question?
From any MMO, what do you or anyone else consider a boss with advanced boss tactics as the best example of what you hope for?
- (Death, Terry Pratchett, Hogfather)

Me thinks most people miss the Long-term CC tactics that such skills bring to the table.

Actually hold on till around Feb there will be raids. Well called guild activities but they will buy and large be raids.
It is just a matter of holding out till then.Anet knows this has been lacking for some time and from what I have been told working on this. With the epic new content we should see raids and more to do as a guild as it has been sorely lacking.
So yet again we take another big step toward being like everything else on the market and nothing unique in game.
