Hi everyone.
Im curious. If you were forced to start the game again (yeah I know, most wouldnt bother) whichprofession would you pick?

Mesmer.

I wanted to post on this thread but it would be so obvious I might get banned for going off topic

Mesmer, ranger, ele and guardian … with the added goal of adding an engi and possibly a warrior soon, too .

Did I mention that I have a severe case of altoholism?

Warrdian or Meselemancer, or maybe Rangineef.

Warrior, leveling as warrior is ezz due to high hp and has access to many weapons.

I would start with necro. My main has always been warrior and i’ve never had problem with being kicked from dungeon groups or struggling with bosses or skips. I always see people complaining that they get kicked on sight when they join groups on necro so i would like to see if thats really true or people are just QQing, specially that youtuber Nemisis, he was always complaining that zerkers kept kicking necros and so on.

^^ Though i’d go Engi in place of ranger to start and probably be considering a thief add on.

I would start with Mesmer of course , followed by guardian and elementalist.

Guardian

So far, Mesmer is the winner. I wouldn’t expect that.
Personally, I think I’d go engi.

I wouldn’t bother making this terribly ugly sylvari mesmer I’m stuck with (can’t delete her, she has 500 tailor and 100% map completion, yes I know I’m kittened), and I’d do my sexy human mesmer straight away on day -3.
Then, I’d start leveling my guardian first and keep it as a main Well, “main”. I guess an altholic doesn’t have a main. Let’s say he’s the one I have the most familiarity with.
No regrets about anything else. I love my characters.

Necromancer, then Warrior, same as I did this time around.

Even though the Necromancer is so bad for the content I do more often than not, I just enjoy the playstyle and care too much about my GW1 legacy to give up the ghost. Besides, at least I do as much damage as a no-UC meta Guardian…..

Ele. Already have 2 accounts with mesmer mains…

Guardian, I find them the easiest class to use. Thier many blocks, toughness and healing makes it easier to recover from mistakes and continue on.

Ele, but it pains me to not be able to say warrior. I just don’t really have confidence in them fixing the class.

Me? Main = ele since GW1.

I wouldn’t start again. I would be just so kitten off.

But I think that I would restart with a Ranger. I have all 8 profession, but I really only play Thief, Guardian and Elementalist for a long time. I know the Ranger is not better than it used to be and its the profession that I played the least, so it would be the less repetitive profession to play again.

I’d probably start a thief.

Genevieve Talbot. She’s had that moniker since around ‘03 as a D&D character. War and Thf in various incarnations throughout the years. She’s a warrior here, just as I had her a War main for FFXI. In the end, her class is incidental to the adventures she’s been on.
