I have a lot of ideas on to how to fix dungeons. Most of you will not like them, but if done right, it will be a better experience for all.
New story/explorable normal mode ideas:
Idea #1: make you kill everything before moving on.
My first idea is having each section closed off (door lock on either end or barriers appear) until you kill every enemy. This will stop the skipping and not trivialize the original idea of the designers.
Before you bemoan this idea, possible rewards for each room will be a small chest with a token or a few items maybe empherial shards or dragonite.
Idea #2: have bosses have anti crowding skills preferably one hit kill.
The stacking tactics are getting old and do not make you a good player by never understanding proper play techniques such as, reading telegraphed moves or dodging properly or skill synergy and using combo fields.
The bosses now should use a one hit kill move when 3 or more player are within 180 radius of it. This with addition to a possible fix to condition damage caps would make it a great addition.
Hard mode:
Idea #3: Add a hard mode
The hard mode will have new tactics such as what mordrem have: like must kill all its minions or it heals 100%/stays invincible, can’t be attacked from front or behind invulnerable from your attacks if a certain condition is on you etc, only vulnerable if bleeding, etc.
Rewards will be higher in accordance to the challenge of course.
All the above changes I propose will be also included in HM though.
So many possibilities for this!
Speed clear mode:

The will be the old dungeon structure we all have now. But in order to not have the new structure and idea not be shortchanged, have the rewards based on how fast you clear it, but the max reward not more than the new modes. So the slow “clear everything as it was intended mode” is not more than the max reward for this and vice versa.
Other Ideas:
Idea #5 Puzzles!
Have actual Zelda style puzzles such as pushing blocks to make a jumping area to get to the next floor or room.
Or light torches to unlock the door with foes trying to put them out constantly (might need a tanky player to keep foes away, etc.).
Conclusion:
I want a challenge and without changes to the system to reinforce that, things will never change.
