i have been running alot of dungeons lately to farm money for my legendary, but i noticed when i do runs in under 10 min the next run ( and another path) gives les tokens. even an whole other dungeon gives less tokens.
for exemple:

i run Cof p1 and p1 afther that i do AC p1 , p2 and p3
if i do them all within 1 hour ( can easly do that with a smooth guild party)
and i start TA afther that i only get like 45 or 30 tokens for TA….

whats up with that?!

Its called Diminishing Returns, punishment for people good with dungeons, even if you switch toons you’ll still get less.

If you finish 5 dungeons in less than 2 hours you get hit by diminishing returns.

I’ve been doing HotW paths 1 and 2 on two characters a day, always after the daily reset, for a little while now. For the first couple of days I was getting 60 tokens per path, per character, but the day before yesterday I only got 30 tokens on my final run, and yesterday I got 30 tokens on my final two runs. It took roughly the same amount of time, always the same time of day. I’m not seeing any particular rhyme or reason to these diminishing returns and can’t find any information beyond this thread. Anyone know more about this? Before this, I thought it was either 60 tokens, or 20 (or less).

punishment for people good with dungeons,

You don’t really need to be good to farm CoF 1 & 2 in 20 minutes over and over again.

It’s there to stop people from heavily farming the fastest dungeons, considering that all of the explorable dungeon rewards are equal, despite their differences in average clear duration.
