twisted marionette/ pavillion
As a fractal. (Just kidding… maybe)
Edit: We may see Crown Pavillion again but Twisted Marionette would either be a part of the LS1 episodes if they still plan on doing them or as a fractal.

Why did they remove Marionette anyways? Of course it was part of season 1 and history wise it got destroyed, but then again why do we still have undead roaming whole Orr?
They just could’ve made her permanently like triple trouble etc.

Marionette getting destroyed was part of the LS1 as an open world event.
There are Risen in Orr because it’s still in in a time before the defeat of Xhaitan. It’d be unfair to newer players if the map were redone to reflect the defeat of Zhaitan.
I already told that. It’s also unfair to have no Marionette. Your logic makes really no sense at all.
According your logic it’s okay to have Orr in an infinite time loop whereas – only be cause Marionette was part of LS1 – it would be illicit to have Marionette still there.
Games mostly make no sense anyways. You kill the same bosses over and over. So why not just let the boss be there for newer players to do. Why remove content? But that’s an old topic.

It was part of LS1 which was temporary content. Open world maps were developed to be locked into the time period that they were developed in. Just looks at the four HoT maps. Should they be changed to represent Mordremoth having been defeated? That wouldn’t make much sense and would cause new players to mis out and wouldn’t make much sense to them. The same goes for Orr.
But that’s exactly my argument: although Mordremoth and Zhaitan are ‘dead’ now we still have Undead and Mordrem roaming around. I don’t care, it’s a game. So why couldn’t they just leave parts of LS1? Like Marionette. It’s now just an empty place with nothing to do. Temporary special events like when Scarlet is roaming around in the open world are cut be cause they conflict other events etc. I understand they removed it, but why something like Marionette?

Propably because they can’t just implent it anymore due to upgrades they made to the game engine. They most likely would have to re-do the whole thing almost from scratch for it to work in the current state of the game.
I was thinking that day that liadri might come back in fractal xD who knows?

LS1 was their experiment into designing content that left impressions on the World. The idea is when it’s “time” was done, it was done permanently. Like The Tower being built and destroyed. The destruction of LA. . Killing Marionette, killed the Marionette.
Unfortunately they had committed too far to reverse this and leave aspects in place. And by the time Wurm came out, which was LS1 content which referred to LS1 events and still does as perm content, it was too late to reverse their direction.
There were ways round this and they had other options.
- A fractal boss with a larger party req or a raid boss.
- Another group, like the Aetherblade or Inquest took control of the Marionette and got it back up and running
- Take the mechanics and re-apply it to another boss.
The latter is the direction they went in (Vinewrath).
