For the AOE how does it work exactly? Like is it waves of projectiles? constant projectiles? If waves, how many?
I’ve noticed I can often get away with a dodge back, wait like half a second, then dodge back in. Sometimes I’ll get tagged though, which has me thinking that it’s 2-3 waves?
Obviously I prefer to be safe and Dodge back, then block back in though, just curious the exact mechanic if people know it.

Read what I just posted It’s 3 waves of projectiles with each wave aiming on your current position. Ideally you wanna evade a bit later after the first dodge so your evade frame covers the 3rd wave aswell. For the block it doesn’t matter since it’s long enough anyway.

… ok, I feel plenty stupid, somehow I read right over the first sentence and didn’t even see it… yeah…
Thanks
So, Just got Thief solo tonight, now to decide, mesmer, warrior, or Ele next?
GZ on thief, now do ele. Lot of “fun”.
Do Warrior, and do it off the wall :P

Yeah, I was contemplating Engi or Thief offwall, we’ll see, that frenzied blast still screws me up a bit. Maybe I’ll just get warrior down then do that offwall /shrug.
Well got warrior done, but have to say it was the hardest of the ones I’ve done so far… I’m terrible at warrior and my timing on it is atrocious.
ele off wall
your body will not be ready

Yeah I’m scared enough doing Ele on wall right now (about to start working on it).
I’ll probably start offwall attempts after I get ele and Mesmer before I go for ranger/necro. The Frenzied Blast is just too fast for me still. I could probably get it with Guard and a little RNG luck just guessing with WoR but yeah …
Robyn did a very elegant ele solo off wall. You should check her youtube channel out.

o_o I wouldn’t call it elegant, I would call it serviceable, but I really did mean it as a guide more then a speed kill. I don’t like fighting lupi on the wall and I hadn’t seen any videos of ele off, so I made one for those interested. It’s something I keep coming back to and I hope to do a better version soon, but this is the current one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwnLFvqy8uE
But i like how you were able to keep your might stacking rhythm. Even though it does need refinement, it is still nicely done.
I am on warrior, doing arah path 2.
! no engi?
If you do try on your engi, you can actually range him in phase 1. Push to the wall, back off and throw grenades at him till you get into phase2 then on the transition drop your supply crate to eat the grub, then get up underneath him for those mechanics.
… Just had to put it, as again IMO Engi is the easiest lupi solo and that ability to trivialize phase1 (taking a little longer of course) is a major reason why. And, since I know you play engi a lot I thought I might mention it.
Always great to know more classes but i thought the point is to learn phase 1.
It absolutely is, but there is a difference between learning it and wanting to punch your computer because for the 5th time today you died in phase 1 because you were .1s off on your kick dodge.
So don’t get me wrong, it’s just something that can let you get past that bump in the road, especially nice for those of us with potato computers or horrible connections As you want to speed up you’ll surely stand in melee and do it differently.
True.

Very nice, I’m a pretty noob Ele so didn’t even realize what earth3 did on dagger :b, that alone should be quite helpful.
I got deep into p3 first attempt last night with staff Ele, then a few more tries and the lag set in and I was dying to kicks before the animation so I had to give up

I re-did the fight tonight, an excuse to try out some different rotations and this time without the energy sigil. The time isn’t that much faster but I think the technique is better. My luck was mixed in p3 but I think it’s valuable to see how to recover from mistakes or bad luck, especially on ele. – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO52uZ5Hg8c
