I agree, stacking and using LOS is kinda cheap but it also make it easier for most players. Also, it is not an exploit. Using LOS against brainless mob is a legit pulling tactic that must have over a decade now, applied in many MANY games. One should think that devs in the year 2010+ would’ve come to a solution but they didn’t find one yet.
IMO AC is pretty decent and fun and its one of the few dungeons that shares some lore with GW1 (which sums a lot in my book).
If I have to call a dungeon boring or not that entertaining I would say TA gets my award: Hitting small explosive mushrooms… the engine is not as polished as they think to make that a pleasure experience… it is glitchy and deadly with lag; besides the place looks like a bad trip of acids.

I had someone tell me that skipping mobs in Arah P1 was an exploit and that dungeons were made for people to kill everything. I replied if you want to do that /leave.
Everyone got angry at me because they claimed it would be easier and more time efficient to kill than just get to bosses and move forward so I said alright you convinced me as I typed /leave.

The one full of really boring Mobs with like 3x the HP’s of most dungeon mobs and also Chill-spam every few seconds so your DPS tanks even harder. As if that wasn’t bad enough, 2 of the finales are under water. (only remotely dangerous boss in the entire place is the Werewolf)
Let the Polar bears go extinct, I don’t care anymore.

Screw worst dungeon, this is now (for this post ._.) an LoS semantics thread!
If aggro was the same in GW2 as GW1, stacking in a corner would still be an exploit, but only because the mobs wouldn’t run in range and you’d obstruct all of their projectiles.
I mean, I just don’t get it. Is every room supposed to be cylindrical, with no clutter, and we intentionally stand getting punched in the face?
It’s just like Clerics vs Zerkers; pugs cry about something because they intentionally make it difficult for themselves.
I understand if bads find stacking boring, that’s a product of preference which cannot be srgued, but in any case scenario involving stacking in a corner and the aggro mechanics of one game or the other, it’s labelled an exploit. I can just picture it now: “Corners are exploits and an unintended side effect of triangles, squares, pentagons, …” etc…

Worst dungeon: HOTW 2/3.
Best Dungeon:
I really like the new TA path. It’s all skill with no fat HP sack bosses. Of course, I only run it with a regular group or with guildies.
I also like Arah 2 & 3, but really its just fun doing Lupi.
Worst dungeon (as a whole) in my opinion? Arah.
Maybe it’s because I barely ever run it, or because I rarely get an entire party who knows how to run it well. But the enemies feel overpowered or just annoying(why I prefer skipping whatever we can), the corrosive light part feels like a blatant time-waster, and no matter what, Lupicus is a pain. Ran that place enough for the one piece I wanted and never looked back.
Worst dungeon path(s) that I have ran in my opinion:
Sorrow’s Embrace Path 2: It’s…just sooo long. None of the bosses themselves are too bad (the final one was kind of annoying), the path just goes longer than what you get out of it.
Arah Path 4: Ugh. Anyone who’s run that one can probably think of half a dozen reasons why it sucks.
Honor of the Waves Path 2/3: The underwater isn’t bad. The enemies you fight while underwater are the pain. Doesn’t help that all the final bosses have a lot of HP.
Twilight Arbor Assault Path (a.k.a the new F/U): I think everything I could say has been said elsewhere.
Arah is the worst dungeon because you either don’t know how or can’t be bothered to mitigate damage from mobs?
My opinion is that HOTW all paths is the worst dungeon, you have bosses with boring mechanics, giant HP pools, and in the case of Ginva, boring mechanics, giant HP pool and protection. At least the CoE golem lets you sit there and kill it, this guy tears you in half, especially if you don’t immediately dodge out of his whirling defense.

I recall doing Hotw for the last time uh…. last year? Yeah, I think it was almost one year ago… that dungeon so bad it hurts.
I sometimes pug HOTW p1 because I like the “free” 1g reward. Then I feel like cutting myself because the dungeon sucks so much

stability used to work, looks like they specifically made it so you have to time your stuff…. or just stick on the left side (worked last time I did HotW)

yeah that cleave is ridiculous, I usually melee and use my blocks or evade frames for every attack and then back off when I run out of those. Just annoying as hell.

HOTW: The entire Dungeon. Boss mechanics are boring, and they have a ridiculous HP pool. They are the pure definition of a HP-Sponge. Nothing special, just boring and annoying as hell. ( Hello Ginva cleave )
CoF 1: Too short, too easy and too rewarding. This is a Fast Food Dungeon, wait it would insult the other dungeons to call it a dungeon. Oh and sometimes, half of the group can’t see the freking rocks.
CM1: Did Anet expect us to fight Perma Knockback Seamus in this small room? Really? His shot is a knockback with some damage, but he can shoot fast enough to hold you in this knockback. Second boss is boring. No damage, just HP. You could go afk for some minutes and kill him. And Frost? An attack which is far bigger than the animation, does some damage and chills you? Oh and this is his auto attack. -.-

Not hard, just tedious as all kitten and takes forever.
I don’t have a prob with any of the HOTW paths. I do P1 regularly. P2/3 some don’t seem to like because of the underwater bosses. I’m not fond of them, but I find SE 2 to be oh so much worse.

I actually really like AC and stacking. At least people can’t complain support(healing) is useless now.
Most of the people complaining about cheap mechanic is people who hardly do dungeon. And it is not fun for farmers who do dungeon everyday to play with them. Without finding some cheap way to make the dungeon easier.

I hate fractals too, but I’m stuck there. Gotta farm noob teams that face me for those relics. I’ll gather 1 million and hope Mike O’Brien releases me from that f***ing hut. I hate insects, putrid water and that horrid smell. Ugh.

Well, you can..it just means going back to the lab and beginning a new fractal chain…which is really annoying. I don’t get why they didn’t just let you choose the fractals you want to go to. Maybe make it random at first and then let you choose fractals that you’ve completed afterwards…meh.

My very very least favorite is SE path two, mostly for the same reasons people are giving for hotw. The first room is just massive hp bags,with the added annoyance of them being dredge. The icing on the cake is after you clear the room of the millions of dredge, you have the joy of watching the npc walk all the way across the room to get a rock, and walk slowly back.
I don’t really like AC p3 tbf, but only because of the timed graveling event. That whole dungeon path is probably easier then CoF P1, but it takes 3 times as long because the essence collecting event is much longer than it should be.

Timed gravelings? You mean the burrows? That event goes by a LOT quicker when you have the locations memorized, at least to me it does. I’m too busy flipping between Focus/Staff might stacking (Guard ofc) then back to GS to kill, then making sure I still have swiftness up to break combat and run to the next burrow, stacking might before it pops (all to avoid weapon swap cooldowns ughh).
It’s actually become one of my favorite events.

^ Sorry but burrows is an AFK fest. One ice bow takes out a burrow in seconds without any might. We get so bored during it we try to get those bugged hatchling pets that follow you around without attacking…

What kills them faster, fiery GS fiery rush or the ice bow AOE attack?
Last time I pug’d AC, a guy dropped FGS, i rushed over a burrow and saw 8 copies of 333 damage pop up each second.

They both kill it fast. The burrow cant react fast enough to the dmg from fiery rush to die much faster than frostbow.
Fiery Rush by far, you just gotta Whirl back over it. Or two people using Fiery Rush (we get reeeaaally bored.)

My vote for worst dungeon overall goes to CM. Dull environment with boring enemies, some of the fights in small rooms completely bork the camera. The bosses and mechanics are mostly unmemorable .
Even the rewards are pretty uninspiring. Bland looking armor and weapons with forgetable stats (I don’t think I’ve seen anyone running with golden weapons), no ‘native’ core or lodestone drops.
No dungeon is the worst in my opinion. They all are awesome! I run every single dungeon every day since they added the bonus gold at the end. I’m rich now! I even wrote a guide on how to get rich with dungeons. You just have to pay me $9.99 and I’ll ship it to you for free.
