Just want to say that i’m a big fan, i’m not that easily offended, and i do get why Arena Net does what they do…even when i don’t like it. I even loved the airplane theme yesterday.

But while i’ve been waiting for over 2 weeks on a big bug(if you ask me) and we still have no word from ANET, not even a “Yeah we know about the challange mote problem and we are working on it” answer when so many of us are just one achievement shy of finishing that lumi set.

And now, from what i’ve seen they add a little more info each week about the HoT expansion, but today they are telling us a story about someone that works for ANET and the summery of what happend in the LS.

This feels cheap…i’m sorry but it’s just how i feel…I appreciate what she does, i’m thankfull for what she does…i don’t mind reading about her, but if it means that i have to wait another week maybe for some info…it’s kind of iritating.

Now i know that she has a master’s degree at the London School of Economics, something that is kind of useless to me, and nothing more about the expansion that i plan on buying.

I’m not asking for actual in game contet, i get it, they are focusing on the expansion, and they don’thave the man power to do something new…but at least they could give us some info, and maybe fix a bug that it’s actually stopping our progress in game?

Or maybe i’m just over reacting cause i’ve had a bad day…who knows…just wanted to get this off my chest.

This was bonus info though since they only do stuff on tuesdays usually. This week was more stuff about wvw.

I know what you want to express with your thread OP.

I too also feel, that such blogs don’t belong into that spot there. They are no “News” at all.

When I see a blogpost there basically, I personally expect them to be news about the Game, stuff like Patch Notes, Infos about new Gemstore Items, Blogs about Game Changes or upcoming Features and new game Content they want to describe and show to us…

Thats the stuff I am looking for, when I go to that web page and look for actually NEWS about the game.

There don’t belong to be there:

• Blog Posts about Employess, if I wanted to get to know something about the people that work at Anet, I would look somewhere else for that, such Infos hsould be posted in a different place on the website completely in its own section like a big “About Us” section

• Blogs about PvP Tournaments/ Events are also no NEWS for me personally, that I would go look for there on that page, that is also something, that should be posted somewhere else in my opionion on the Webpage, or shoud be something, that should be announced and discussed only ion other media patforms, like Twitch, POI and so on where alcutally the PvP oriented part of the community is also and not here on the Website imo

And if they can’t do that,m theny they should at least overwork that web page so, that players can decide over it, with the help of FILTERS, which kind of blog posts they want to see there only.

So if I set a hook into the filter (Only PVE/Game CentricBlogs), then I would see with that filter active only all blog posts of anet on that web page, that are relative to actually real NEWS, that are about the game and nothign else, getting such stuff like PvP tournament blogs and such stuff then totally blended out of view for you.

If that would be possible for them to do with their webpage software to program, that would be an awesome QoL improvement for the website then, so that players get shown then only the blogs of their personal focus of interest and nothing else.

@Orpheal, that is exactly how i feel too… PvP, WvW, Employes stories…those things don’t belong in the “News” Section of the website. Sure this is important stuff for some players/readers…but they do not represent News to the game Itself..

Not like a nice update, or info about upcoming expansion, and so on.

The employee blog post was a new low in my eyes from arena net…i’m kinda sure that there was not even a single player thinking “God how i wish this week they will post something about someone that works at arena net instead of actual HoT news…man that would be like so uber cool”

Also, season 2 recap? not even close to “news”
