How could WvW be anything else than a zerg fest? You have armies sieging fortifications.
RIP City of Heroes
I stopped playing almost a year ago after getting 1000+ hours… I really like this game and want to play it but it feels bland for some reason, is there any new ways to level or is it just the same “hearts” or WvW. Also is WvW still a zergfest?
Thanks
Yep still the same. Hearts, events, bosses, gathering, crafting, exploration, WvW, Dungeons – loving it!

The only difference is that now people level with the champ train and often with living world content. That’s an important difference.
Some people really enjoyed leveling on Southsun or in the Queen’s Pavillion as an example. Of course, if you don’t enjoy zergs, you won’t much enjoy leveling that way anyway. But it is pretty profitable.
You can level by crafting, doing events, the champion train, and maybe other things. Yes, WvW is still a zergfest. They have however added a lot of new stuff since a year ago. There is a new dungeon (Fractals of the Mists), a new area (Southsun Cove), a new tier of weapons, armor, jewelry, and back pieces (ascended gear), a bunch of new exotic skins, various new back piece items, 3 new jumping puzzles (“Not So Secret”, “Skipping Stones”, and “Under New Management”), at least 2 new PvP maps (don’t know much about PvP though), a new healing skill for each class (in addition to a new healing skill that all classes can use), and a new LFG (Looking For Group) tool much like the party window from Guild Wars 1 (very useful).
Actually I had found this out recently, and you can lvl through pvp… if you can stand the try-hards… you have to talk to the Kodan( have 20+ silver and 1500 glory per) to get a lvl tome.
