Q:
1 button that changes action?
I would say it’s fine each press is doing one action. It never says it has to be a different button.
i read up on the macro policy of gw2 and the idea of 1 button press = 1 action, but as a hypothetical, you programmed a button to “rotate” input? so while you where pressing m5,m5,m5,m5 or such, the input would be 2,3,2,3 where does this land? and is it illegal?
Gray area. The rule is 1 button 1 action. The interpretation of that isnt clearly defined however. Is it “1 button → 1 action (no limit to said action)” or “1 button → 1 single action (no variation)?”
Perhaps, if you explained exactly what rotation you want this one button-press to do, the answer could be better determined.
is it autoattack, stow weapon, autoattack , stow weapon? xD
thats the only combo of 2 actions on 1 key that comes to my mind that makes sense
so you can do the faster autoattack easier
if that is what want to do im not sure if anet likes it
since that is kind of an exploit
and anet already changed the elementalist autoattack to prevent an even bigger use of the exploit since ele was also be able to also heal itsself faster by doing it
