then a guild member said we can only get it on the final day.
i thought it sounds absurd.
then i realized anet has done absurd one time events before.
so here i am asking to be sure.

does this also means we can get one helm for each of our characters?
I think it works the same way as in GW1 and during Halloween in GW2, it won’t last 2h. 5-10min and when it finishes you will get the helm. There is no percentage chance you can get that helm, you only need to watch it once.
In GW1 there were different helmets every festival and you could recieve all of them with one character. But only 1 helm per 2h.

Yep, that was how they dd it in Guild Wars 1. The finale is on the last day and repeats itself every 2 hours. You only needed to attend one to get the hat that appeared in your inventory. Actually, you could get one each time you attended if you wanted to. Doesn’t say that here, but it’s possible.

They did, and they said that they learned with it.
If you check the last events, you can see they are trying new things to get everyone involved while still giving the feel of a changing world.
IMO they are doing a good job with it.
I couldnt get in the Karka event and was very disappointed, but since they changed to this 3-5 day long events I could always find some time to jump in.

I’m pretty sure you are limited to only getting it once. You do, however get a light, medium, and heavy version (which all look the same) rather than being forced to pick a single version.

Watch the skies above Lion’s Arch come alive with an explosive fireworks show every night in-game. The fireworks begin at 9AM PDT on Friday, June 14 and will go off every two hours until 12PM PDT Monday, June 17. It could be interpreted either way imo. Either that you get a helm each time you stay thru a finale or you get a helm one time only. It will depend if they keep with the Guild Wars 1 model or if they change it.
I think the confusing bit is the use of the word finale, as it can mean both the end of the overall celebration and the end of one fireworks cycle.

Then that makes it sound like an account bound chest, rather than the Guild Wars 1 version where the hat simply appeared in your inventory at the end of a finale. So, it looks like you get 3 of them total. Well that’s not too bad. Much better than getting only one.
