As in title.
We need the skins from first Halloween available for BL Claim Tickets.
I mean the Scythe staff, the Greatsaw etc.
The Christmas skins are there, right?

was lucky enough to get the scythe, and a few shoulder skins……….would love a chance at them again (with either BL tickets, or some event-specific earnable currency)

Christmas Skins were once in the Gem Shop, they were never obtained the way the others were. Also keep in mind several of the first Halloween weapons are craftable ones.

1) exclusivity of having been on and supported GW2 since launch or at least their first real “event”

2) If they did they would have to refund a TON of players who have those skins listed on the TP as they would now never sell…

Players charge more for the Greatsaw than The Legendary Bolt.

YES PLEASE, Im not about to spend a legendary worth of gold for these weapons. Only ppl with them now and ppl selling them want ot be a-hats and dont let others have these AMAZING weapons that should never be forgotten.

But sadly anet wont, they said something like (we dont like the design of them for our game, they dont fix our story)

why does everyone so desperately want to turn everything prestigious into commonplace worthless items?

precursor crafting, retired skins being purchasable, it all reduces any form of prestige.

as one of the people who worked tirelessly to farm enough gold to buy one of the few Greatsaw skins (1800g when i bought it afew months back) i would find it absolutely disgusting if they let people buy them with tickets.

if you really want one of these skins, then you’d work up the 3000g to buy it.
i know i would if i hadn’t already!
removing all of their value is not the answer just because people want things without having to work for them.

There is always of a chance of them getting re released for whatever reason Anet deems a good one. Keep Monocles and Jetpacks in mind.

What exclusivity?

People sold their Grinning Gourds which came in the first year of Halloween. I know this because I got my GG rifle as a drop from MK realm. If someone buys it today fresh into the game where’s the exclusivity then? Please, show me.

As for refunds, well, look at all the people who bought multiples of certain skins (i.e. Scarlet’s Kiss, Scarlet’s Rainbow, Molten Jetpack, multiple legendaries, multiples of Mystic Forge weapons) for their characters. They should be entitled to a refund too, in that case. Also people who bought numerous wind catchers and the like.

I’ve been playing since the first day (Account issues messed up my Beta access) and you honestly don’t even deserve that entitlement. They’re not founder-weapons. They’re not special. And more likely than not, Anet will release them again. For the better.

It’s not a matter of having supported them in the beggining. They are not some kind of beta reward. These skins should be available again.

They will most likely on halloween. Or atleast they should.

Why do you want to be the only one to have an amazing skin? Thats like saying “Rich ppl are the only ones that should have nice things”.

I would love to see more ppl with these skins, b.c THEY ARE THAT GOOD, they are to good to only let a very few population to run with them.

I was smart enough to buy my Ghastly Grinning Shield when it was selling for 80g but yea I’d have to agree that putting them up for black lion tickets would be nice, though for a lot more like 10-12 tickets. At least then you’d really have to work a lot on farming keys or buying them and they could still hold some exclusivity.

Honestly I hope if they re-release them they maybe add a few changes so that the originals are still ‘unique’ and desirable in some form, while still giving new people the chance to get them.

Yes, I was around for that First Halloween, and Yes I have two GG Rifle skins even now. My point is valid. People want the skins re-released so they can get them without shelling out major amounts of gold.

People who were there don’t want them re-released because they were incredibly hard to farm.

Re-releasing with some minor changes theoretically pleases both crowds.

i didn’t get one on halloween either, but because i wanted one i saved up the thousands of gold necessary to buy it, because thats what i think it’s worth…
i have NO ascended armour or weapons, i have no legendaries, i spent everything i had on getting the greatsaw skin.

basically all this thread boils down to is people saying “i want that, but i don’t want to work for it.”

if you really want it, you’ll work for it as i did, i mindlessly farmed for months, and at the end i got my Greatsaw, that is the sign of REALLY wanting something.

none of this “let me buy everything i want for a couple of ticket scraps.”…
honestly i swear some people want the game to play it’s self!

TL;DR
if you really love the skin, you’ll farm your butt off like the rest of us to afford it,
you won’t try to get it nerfed into a commonplace worthless item.

Or just buy the skins with your credit card via gems, which is the other mega exclusive way to get them.

What about Ghastly Grinning Shield ? Oh wait that’s 2700g now…lol

It would make it too easy for people to get the awesome skins right? Like the Ghastly Grinning Shield (IMO the best freaking skin ever). If everyone was running around with one of them it wouldn’t be as cool anymore!

1 Could only be truth if everybody just got it for being there or doing a few events. Many people who where there and participated where not able to get them. It would still be bad because as a new player you don’t want to hear “you can’t get that any-more” to many times after asking somebody about his skin. Something that did happen because of the way LS season 1 worked (and Anet did come back on that by making many of those skins and mini’s available again later).

2 Prices of many items go up and down partly because changes Anet makes. They don’t have to refund for such a reason.

The best they can do is simply make it available again during next Halloween. Some indeed had to be crafted so recipes could drop just as the needed materials to create them. Some skins you could only get in others ways if I remember correctly so those could drop in a Halloween dungeon (like we had first Halloween) and so on.

In that way it’s still tight to Halloween, there is a more fun way of obtaining them and because they are available one a year (and new skins will likely be added every year) they will stay very exclusive.

The tickets are not a fun way to get skins anyway, that’s sadly one of those things that are there to support the cash-shop but does not do any good to the game itself.. If you compare it to those skins being available in the game itself what would be more fun.

Having them being exclusive by having to work for them ingame is not bad. But farming them is not really an option, it’s grinding gold to then get them. That is not a fun way to get them and if it’s hard is also the question. If you are good with the TP it’s not hard for you and if you buy it with cash it’s also not hard. So the current way does not do so much good for those items in that sense to be honest.

But no they should not become very easy to get. I agree with that part.
