Seriously? What I will get after spending 10 golds for the Eldvin Monastery Brew of the Month Club would be just a backpack really similar to the others that I can craft with the standard crafting , a title and a decoration?
I mean, at leass make the backpack ascended …. I’m so disappointed..

Seeing as no one has this back item yet how do you know what it will be? It’s another 10 months till people will finally have it. Anything untill then might be a placeholder.

10 gold for an ascended back????

Most ascended backs cost either 1 or more stacks of t6 and/or ecto’s and more often then seldom the backs cost 100(’s) of gold…..

10 gold should get us a nice exotic lvl 80 with an exclusive skin (lols) and stat selection…maybe even an infusion slot…. Don’t expect more at this time.

Ok but at least that… I was expecting some more effort to justify all the 12 months of waiting.

No the point is, wait 1 year for your reward and log in each month at leat once, there will be a great reward at the end an……hem…..exotic bp maybe…and a title….wow

10g seems like a reasonable price to me. People pay a lot more than that for some items where the only useful part is the skin (look at cultural armor for example).

The fact that it’s spread over a year could be a negative or a benefit, depending on how you look at it. It can be frustrating to wait and to have to remember to complete the collection each month. But it also disperses the cost which might make it easier to afford for some people (or at least make it seem more affordable).

I would think there’s relatively few people who can’t log in and collect the item once a month. If it was me I’d have to put a reminder in my diary to do it, but I can usually log in at least once a month.

As a mechanic, it’s a bit weird. They’ve already have a daily login reward system, so it’s not clear what a monthly login reward is meant to achieve. They could given us the same backpiece as a reward for some other activity (either new or existing).

That said, as long as this didn’t take any resources from improving the rest of the game, I don’t mind.

I suspect that it’s a test run for a monthly timer for something. If it messes up and they miss something, it’s easy enough to email someone the missing drinks for the collection. If they get things early, it’s just a skin.

I’d say to expect more monthly timers to come.

Some people love it — I’ve seen a lot of appreciation threads about it. If you aren’t interested, don’t spend the 10g.

Incidentally, the patch notes only say it’s a skin — nothing about getting an actual pack (emphasis is mine):

…After collecting all twelve brews, club members will receive a title, a backpack skin, and a guild decoration in recognition of their devotion to the craft.

Still, people pay far more than 10g for skins, especially ‘exclusive’ ones.

There was a title for running around F’ing some signs. I don’t see anything unusual here and I expect the backpack skin to be as ugly as possible.

It’s not especially ugly. Unless you consider the crafting backpacks ugly. Looks like the top of the line crafting ones.

Well those are a mixed bag. Some are decent while others are more “WTF? O_o” like that plastic bear one for huntsman(?).

I doubt it will be ascended. There’s no reason to get an ascended backpack for 10G and simply logging in each month. If you want relatively cheap backpacks, while doing work to earn them, then do the HoT collections.

Can almost make 10 gold in a single day just doing 1-19 and 21-40 fractals. Takes less than 2 hours.

10 gold for an ascended back piece would be stupid.
