Greetings!

I’ve been sitting at 99% world completion for about 3 weeks now, with only WvW zones to finish. It’s been very difficult trying to get the rest of the points of interest and vistas that I need to finally defeat this monster…but the only reason I’m having trouble is: My realm doesn’t do anything exciting in WvW.

All the commanders do is run in circles, back-cap, re-flip, and zerg around. I realize that all this is important to protecting your score in WvW, but we have been facing the same three servers the last three weeks, and I doubt that I’ll ever get close to completion soon.

If the teams happpen to change, do our “starting positions” change as well? If not, what’s the best course of action? Server transfer and wait a week to come back?

Any tips from 100% World Explorers? Thank you!

Not a 100% Explorer, but honestly your best bet would be to transfer. There’s not a whole lot of other options if your world truly won’t get those points for a while or ever.

I have heard people have success offering a few gold to a large guild or commander to take a certain point for that reason.

Don’t do this, you may not be able to transfer back, and how do you know if the realm you transfer to has the point you want.

Your best bet is to just be patient. Your realm’s location on the map rotates every so often (weekly, i think, but don’t quote me on that) and the borderlands you’re assigned to cycles as well. This is how I was able to get every point in every borderland (just wait for the map I need points in to be my realms map, then I can near freely explore). I have one vista left in the lower left hand side keep of EB, just waiting for my realm’s turn to get that side and I’ll grab it.

Patience is basically the key….

You’re certainly not the only one. This was supposed to be a game title with multiple options but this as well as the loot being only in dungeons and the pigeonholing into a single viable spec in professions precludes actually having a choice. No one should be forced to go into a pvp zone for any reason. This is actually happening with monthly event completion as well. Requiring dungeon runs (and not just one either like five or seven) and requiring wvwvw to complete a monthly isn’t exactly giving us choices either.

Wow, patience is a virtue (or just logging on at the right times).

I was able to complete EB 100% this morning thanks to an awesome commander and sub-commander (feeding us golems, yay!)

If you want a easy way out join Sorrows Furnace server right now they pretty much have everything captured except for a few camps.

Not much help I know, but I did it in the first 2 weeks while server transfers were still instant and free.
Now we’ve ended up with a situation where server balance has been ruined by the players mostly interested in wuvwuv migrating to the most successful ones. I can see certain servers never again being able to dominate the maps, even with the aid of night-capping.

In wvw having a yellow star by your name that shows through walls (especially for stealth classes) is not a good thing…

Check weekly, you may find a different starting area has the point you need

I started an entire thread about this a few days ago that exploration shouldn’t include P vs P areas but unfortunately W vs W vs W seems to be considered a P vs E area which is a complete load of bull in my book because I am not nor will ever be a P vs P player, I simply do not enjoy it or the antics and actions of most of your P vs P players. Not all are bad but it’s something no matter what the game developers design they’ll never take the unsportsmanlike like conduct and things gamers will bring with them into those spots. It always happens and again, it should have been something kept separate but unfortunately it wasn’t and for us P vs E players it SUCKS in a really big way.

To answer your question though – I received some suggestions when I made a comment about this and one was to switch to a winning server. Very bad idea if you have any attachments to the one you’re on or folks you really want to game with. I was also told everything could be mapped in a matter of hours and it was no big deal either…… What a load of total horse crap that statement was. The best suggestion I’ve seen and one which I’m using myself is to periodically check maps and go run and explore the areas your world has under its control. The maps do rotate so really the only thing you can do is keep checking those maps and slowly gain the areas you need. There were a few times I could sneak around and grab vistas or some POI’s on my own but some spots there’s absolutely no way to do this. Best of luck to gaining your title as there really is no easy route to completing this.

I waited over 2 months for 2 vista and 2 PoI’s, but today I finally did it (well my server did), and fighting for it deff made it more worth while. There was a moment I thought i was going to come away with still needing 1 vista and PoI….. did i breathe a sigh a relief when the rest of map showed up
Only reason you need to complete is for a legendary and if you still farming for it, then have fun and in time it will come.

Btw, I started off by hating WvW and even tho sometimes I wanted to throw my PC across the room, today was worth it. Im glad I didnt swap servers.
