After April 30 patch, Elelmentist class will be consider Balanced in Arenanet handbook , and the 2 remaining un-balanced classes; Thief and Warrior will soon be Balanced to accomplish Arenanet mission in Balancing the classes.

I look forward in those classes to be balanced as well; many of the community who suffer greatly by these 2 remaining elitist classes been waiting too long; changes are coming very soon.

My intent is not to taunt those classes but to tell them that their time will soon come.

I believe Arenenet want to preserve their image, integrity and to be respected, which includes eliminating un-balances in their game.

Especially if they want to preserve their community/customers trust and loyalty in doing their job in helping eliminating issues, bots, bugs etc.. most importantly helping the “lower-end” classes by providing them the tools and fixes they desperately need.

because guardians and mesmers are soooo op! Jokes aside:
warrior and thief are the highest damaging classes in the game. If we’re nerfing the lesser ones, why don’t we bring these two giants down too?

Well Anet is working on balancing warrior as last 2 updates, they have been buffing some powers and nerfing some others but no warrior players complain or contest any changes done so far. Warrior was underperforming and had not really any broken and overpower skill. (100blades + TW self buff were the only two that needed to be balance in my opinion// The incoming buff of signets are to be on par stats with the last patch buff for banners I believe)

tell me one nerf that a warrior got besides the quickness one? Their most damaging abilities now will be able to deal even more damage when they’re the highest damaging class in the game.

ignore this troll, all he cares about warrior is on pve aspect(which is stupid, because why? PvE is kittening easy), where running a 4 man zerker war in cof really meant a lot and he is jelly because of it.

Are you talking PvP? WvW? or PvE? Because it’s different in each case.

Take Engs for example: Their boon/condition builds are flavour of the month in PvP but overall they’re poor performers in PvE. The boon/condition builds are about to get nerfed which may ‘balance’ Engs in PvP but will unbalance them even further in PvE if it applies there.

You do understand that 100b has to actually HIT the person, right? To do all that damage? Between lack of quick and constant condition removal and the inability to sustain, engage, and disengage as well as most other classes, warriors have quite the difficult time actually killing anything. Catching it, making sure they don’t dispell your immo/stun, and staying alive long enough to do it again if it fails the first time puts the warrior in a horrid spot. The amount of damage they do really is a moot point if they can’t actually deal it.

Unless you keep spells/skills different in pve vs pvp settings, balancing one will unbalance the other.

Just ignore that guy, he’s been yapping on the forum about how warrior able to deal 50k damage and is the most powerful class in the game.

The catch is, he is talking about PvE, which no one give a kitten about it.

Shatter mesmers will be nerfed sooner or later. They suffer from several problems that the devs have said they wanted to prevent, like extreme bursting, newbies having a hard time understanding how to fight them, and generally being unfun to play against (especially due to targetting). There’s also some imbalances when it comes to shattering speed, because it’s instant against melee, but predictable against rangers. That, to me, seems a bit unfair.

Shatter mesmers, much like the soon-to-be-nerfed burst thieves, have too much defense and forgiveness for their burst. I would predict that, sooner or later, the devs will want players to choose between a specialized burst mesmer, and a versatile 4-shatter mesmer, instead of building for both. Design wise, their traits that generate clones on dodge and let the player count as a clone when shattering, are creative and interesting, but they cheapen the playstyle. Massive clone generating makes attempting to destroy clones pointless (which goes against what the devs intended, too), and being able to use all shatters (especially the last two) without worrying about clones takes away some of the level of difficulty that the devs have originally intended for the profession. So a zerker mesmer, while having a high-reward, does not have a high-risk compared to most other professions.

They do have, however, a big counter (conditions) but that also seems unintended, due to how they are forced to pick other utilities.

Toning down this build (perhaps dividing it in two like I mentioned) could also be enough to make other alternative builds viable, like phantasm mesmers, maybe condition mesmers, and who knows what else.

So, definitely, the mesmer will be touched upon sooner or later. Possibly nerfed, but maybe buffed at some other parts too.

The catch is, he is talking about PvE, which no one give a kitten about it.

Who are you referring to when you say ‘no one’?

PvE is the most active area of GW2 by a huge margin, and the people who play there presumably do that for the simple reason that they do in fact ‘give a kitten’ about PvE.

Which brings us back to point that balancing for PvE is important.

Eles were trash in pve and somewhat on-par in pvp, now they’re bad in both. There are ways to beat all these classes, and as many stated it actually takes alot of skill and precision to pull something off with these “OP” builds. But finally, those whiners where their biggest issue was l2p got what they wanted. They’re still probably going to be wrecked by a few eles and will come back here crying, you watch.

so pve in this game is outright worthless in your opinion? I love running dungeons. I hate how nerfs affect my characters, I hate how buffs make warriors rofl stomp everything. Easy problem fix: separate pve from pvp.

For the vast majority of players who just PvE they get hit with all these crazy nerfs and watch warrior get buffed time and time again and can’t figure out why because they are actually playing the game and not whining on the forums.

The balance makes more sense if you go sPvP, but 99% of the players have never PvP’d in their life so that is why they are always confused.

If the devs separated the game modes balance you’d see huge nerfs to warrior in PvE, and huge buffs in PvP, similarly for thieves. But they insist on keeping game modes “consistent” which makes no sense at all, so we get these crazy PvE breaking changes every month.

I’m kind of glad I’m not a PvPer because they always seem to be angry about EVERYTHING in every single MMO I’ve played.

Every MMO its the same thing with the PvP folks: X is too tough, y is too weak, and “I got pwn’d by a Z but I’m so 1337 that is impossible so its obviously unbalanced.”

Can’t wait till they split PvP off from PvE in terms of balance so at least I don’t have to be effected by that madness. Though sadly it still fills up the forums way too much…

Warriors very rarely ever get nerfed. In GW1 they were constantly buffed. And in GW2 and it appears the trend will continue. ArenaNet is trying to appease their warrior playerbase after all.

That’s what there doing they have resontly stated even splitting off wvw skills.

WWith some of the weakest PvP classes being strongest in PvE and vise versa it has to happen.

IIt will also help if PVE requires more than lots of health and dammage.
