Just logged into my 2nd acc to find the unmoveable “join SMS” or “remind me later”
I’m already using WinAuth for my main account and had no plans to upgrade to the authenticator on my 2nd account. (yes, call me stupid but that’s the way it is)
Now, to stop seeing this stinking “click remind me later” every stinking time I log onto my 2nd account I’m going to have to sign up for the authenticator on that account as well.

Now take note here, I DO NOT OWN A MOBILE PHONE (nor do I wish to) and also, I DO NOT WANT to give my house land line to anyone. Apparently anet won’t sell my number but we all know how that always ends don’t we (ANYONE CAN get hacked) so I’m not taking the chance.
(and don’t give the “using FaceBork or Spewgle” because I don’t use Spewgle Marketplace (obviously not having a mobile phone) and Facebork has never had my (old) mobile or landline number)

So, my only option is to use WinAuth for my 2nd acc as well.

The problem I am wondering about is this:

Will this corrupt the link between my main account and WinAuth
or:
will using WinAuth for a 2nd code cause no problems between the two alternate account codes I’ll have? you know the one if you use WinAuth, that massive WSDFER78FRG6JDDKFKG code (and no, that isn’t my code, obviously)

Anyone able to answer this?

Thanks for reading and for any advice if you can

Rich.

Since both games would give 2 differnt codes, I would assume it doable, but I do not know fully. Though make sure you do save both codes like on paper or something and mark which accounts to which in case of problems down the line too.

I’m in the same situation as you and i just fixed my alt acct using WinAuth with no problem. In WinAuth where it says add, just add gw2 again but give it a different name (for eg: one is Guild Wars 2, the 2nd is GW2) and write down your code & save it, noting for which acct it is, just as TJ suggested above and you should be right.

Ah, nice one Tiger, I will try that. Didn’t want to go ahead and start anything without a little confirmation. I’ll update/edit my post in a few with the results.

EDIT: solution provided by Tiger Ashante.1792 did indeed work. Many thanks to you
