Hi,
Try to imagine the situation for example:
Guardian have staff with sigil of blood+sigil battle and greatsword with sigil of fire+sigil of force.After he use empower in battle and change weapon, he got bonus from 4 sigils(power stack+3 stack of might+5% of damage and also fire blast which work very well=>its all increase the damage too much).I think its unfair that elementalists and engi can use only 1 sigil like optional,because 1 sigil always will be with stacks and if we change weapon,we loose stacks.So other classes,which use two-handed and can switch weapon, have more advantage,then it was before.

Developers,may be you should to create a special weapon for this classes with 3 sigils for example for ele and engi?Same problem with d/d ele vs warrior without two-handed weapons.(2 sigils vs 4)

And you Forget that Eles pay the price by having enormous cooldowns on everything because of this and are as good as forced to attune-dance to kitten abilities. I am not even going to explain the Engi…

You can’t have the cake and eat it too. Some dev response to this would be nice.

Because of the changes to the sigils. Any other class can have stacking sigils and three other ones. Ele and Engi can have just a single stacking sigil and another one.
Also, cooldowns aren’t shared by different sigils. Thus changing weapons gives you a freshly recharged sigil in normal circumstances.

Also, when kits got added sigil support, they were heavily nerfed on account of them being “rebalanced” due to said sigils.
Two handed weapons aren’t getting anything of the sort, just a straight bonus.
So either they were lying before and used it as an excuse for nerfing kits, or they aren’t being coherent with their balancing on purpose this time.

Makes sense. But it is still quite an heavy downside for those classes compared to what all the others one can do. So, how are they compensated?

Kits and Attunements, the same as before? Nothing has changed. Before, when stacking sigils, every other class had an advantage at that time as well. Now that stacking sigils is gone, the net change is zero because it was and advantage for everyone that has been taken away for everyone.

4 is to 2 what 2 is to 1. Double is double, it was before and it is now. And the compensation is that Eles and Engis have access to up to twenty skills at one time where other classes only have ten.

Guess you should review your math.
First, before all the sigils of the same type hampered themselves. So having more than one didn’t give you multiple processing. Now it does.
What does that mean? That any class beside engineers and ele can have up to 4 of them.
If we remove the stacking sigil from the count, we are talking about a single sigil for ele and engineers and 3 sigils for any other class.
So it wasn’t double before – they worked in a different way – and even if it was, now it is triple for any other class.

Also, those classes were balanced upon their attunements and kits (even if kits are theoretically optional, another testament to the incoherency of the developers in giving fixed penalities like no weapon swap for an optional utility type).
So they are still getting nerfed by the change unlike any other class.
Again, where is the compensation?

If it wasn’t intended, why didn’t they fix or even comment on it before? It worked like that since…well, ever. Now they are changing it…and giving an huge downside to elementalists and engineers.

Also, i could make your same reasoning for kits. They weren’t intended not to work with sigils and neither that made sense. So why were they nerfed at the time?

Pick one or the other, there is still an incoherence in balancing.

I’m confused, Engineers and Elementalists both have two handed weapons, so they are getting the same boost that everyone who uses a two handed weapons is getting.

Previously there were situations (e.g. staff or rifle) where an engineer or Elementalist previously had access to just 1 sigil, and others could have had 4 active if they picked them right.

This change means that everyone now gets 2 sigils at a time. Not 4, because once you swap weapons you don’t still get the effects of the 2 sigils you swapped out. All your losing out on now are the on-swap sigils, and you lost out on them before anyway.

In any other situation you’re either in the exact same spot as before, or have just gained an extra sigil like everyone else.

Element swap is same as weapon swap, so I feel that it should work on element swap if you put the sigil in your weapon slot seeing as you get only 1 weapon set. By keeping tw cool down, it doesn’t let us be over powered even if we constant element swap

And whats more: take a warrior with a trait that gives him reduced weaponswap (for about 5 sec) with 4 different on swap sigils he can proc them every 5 sec while ele or engi has to wait 9 sec (cooldown on weapon swap sigil). Switching roles? Now on swap sigil gonna be better on other classes?

A cool down of 9 seconds is still on cool down when 5 secs is up on warrior weapon swap charge. You still have to wait. Elements lists get 3 swaps and can do them in the 9 second period of recharge, or wait til 10 seconds so you can get the proc. either way it’s balanced for each class, except that eles should be on elemental swap and engi should be on support swap

I’m also concerned with this. We all know that elementalist have 4 sets of skills, but lets be honest, we already pay, and heavily the price :

- We don’t have even near the dps other classes have.
- We Have one of the smallets health between all professions.
- Manage the Element attunements is far more harder than manage swap weapons. (And I play every profession, fiy)
- The attunements AND skill recharges are all longer than any skills of other professions.

Before used to be 2/3 sigils, against 1/2 sigils from elementalists.

Now, its 4 sigils against 2. As someone already said, if we considerate a certain stacking one, it’ll always end up on 3 sigils against 1.

I’m not here to show you a solution, but only to confirm : WILL have a huge disbalance between ele, and all other professions. Luckly, in PVP I play as a warrior, but In wxw this will be a great problem..

because you can’t re-equip your stacking sigil anymore.
because sigil will have separate cooldowns

Except if they only have 1 sigil that maxes them out at 2 sigils, while other classes/builds can have 4 (2 2handed weapons). Either way, someone will pay, let that be 2handers vs 1handers, or Guardians vs Elementalists. The REAL solution would be giving Elementalists access to 2 weapon sets, or at the very least reducing some of their cooldown times.
