Can you gift the 2000 Gem Deluxe Edition from the black lion market to someone? How does it work?

Can you buy it for example and make a new account with it, for a friend? Or is it only to upgrade your own account? Do you get a code or something or what?

i dont think you can gift those.

Normaly you will see a small present box icon next to the items price in the gem shop.

and it seems that all upgrade items dont have that icon, there for cant be gifted.

You cannot gift it and you cannot use it to buy a new account for someone else. It is only used to upgrade your own account. The items in the gem store that can be gifted have a little gift icon beside them.

I think that unique purchase items can’t be gifted to avoid the issue of gifting it to someone who already has it. Not just because of etiquette issues, but because it means gems got spent on something that has nowhere to go.

Note though that you can gift gems via a gem card. So you could buy 2K gems and instead of using the code, give the code to your friend to use.

Eh nah, he doesn’t have an account, so i was thinking that i might just buy him one for gold from the gem store, otherwise i am not interested in spending 25 euro for it, lol

AFAIK, you can’t gift account upgrades (since the gem store interface can’t tell which ones your friend does or does not have).

If you are still willing to spend the equivalent of 2,000 gems at last week’s conversion rates (~110-150 gold), I’d recommend one of the following:

  • One or more enameled dyes: some very vibrant colors that are hard to match from the main spectrum.
  • Abyss & Celestial Dye
  • A Crimson Lion skin
  • Arthropoda or Crustacea, or any of the dozen or so named exotics in that same ball park.
  • Gem Shop lottery tickets (enough that they are likely to get something nice), such as:
    • 20 Crimson Lion Dye Kits
    • 25 Black Lion Chest Keys

I always think of the ‘perfect’ gift as something the receive wants (or would enjoy a lot), but would never spend their own coin on.
