Q:

Hello.

I was wondering what is the 23rd armor that you can discover, made from Cured Thin Leather Squares and Bolt of Wool and requires 350 level of Leatherworker?

On http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Leatherworker/Initiate_recipes only 22 armor described. They are: 8 Outlaw (fine), 7 Outlaw (master), 7 Noble (rare). I discovered them all.

In the game if you place any of the pices on the discovery table you will get: 1 possible unknown recipes. What other ingredients do I need to discover the armor?

Adding a picture to show what I mean.

Thanks.

I looked on wiki and found nothing so far.

The only thing I could think of is perhaps it requires and Ineffable Insignia? (The insignias you craft with ectos to get “levelling armour”).

I’m not particularly certain about my theory though!

Yeah, the Ineffable Insignias are all I can think of, too.

Those are ridiculously expensive. It’s LEVELING armor and each insignia requires (among other stuff) 5 globs of ectoplasm and 5 crystalline dust. That’s 30 of each for one set of armor to wear while leveling.

And then the other pieces require ectos also. 70 to 85 more ectos, depending on the weight

What were they thinking to set those requirements on Leveling armor????

They were intended for veterans to use on their alts, when leveling, to speed up the process. They also dont soulbind after use, so you can re use them with any alt.

They are still ridiculously expensive for what you get. Especially since most PvE content is easy enough to do with greens or maybe rares while leveling. If WvW, I would think most people would get rares for the alts they are leveling there if they feel they need it rather than crafting a set of armor needing 100 or more ectos to use for maybe 15 levels.

Anyone who can afford to craft armor needing 100 ectos for a char to wear while leveling the last bit, can afford to craft regular exotics for that char and then salvage the armor later or craft rares and salvage later. I’m not seeing a real benefit here to this armor.

And unless the next char is of the same armor weight, that person can’t use that armor on his next alt. He’ll have to use another 100 ectos and make another set.

Thanks for reply everyone. I’ve done 3 of the Ineffable insignias. They gave me: Ragamuffin armor (level 18), Ostholz’s armor (level 26), Ostholz’s armor (level 37). Next 5 Ineffable insignias starting from level (rating) 400 leatherworking. As the picture confirms that ingridient should be of rating 350.

Could it be a bug?

Might be that they intended to add a recipe with ineffible isignias and thin leather but started with t3 leather.

They have way better stats than other exotics in that level range.
If you think its not worth crafting to you, dont do it.
I dont know where your problem is.

Im stating my opinion as to their worth. It’s not necessary for you to agree, but your not agreeing doesn’t invalidate my opinion.

I don’t know what your problem is with my stating my opinion. We shall have to agree to disagree.

Let’s hold us to the case here. I refuse to believe that I’m the only one with that question.
