So…I asked a TOP Achievement Points player what he/she sees under the reward on 27k AP(reward is viewable at 24.5k AP), he/she said laurel, acct bound bonus(forgot which; magic find or gold find…), and some gold, NO ARMOR…..So question is….is Anet gonna leave that as it is. I mean its screwed enough as is that if you pick hellfire over radiant you can get head, shoulders, gloves by 9k, then you get the one you DID NOT like/choose from 12k-18k ap…..WHY?? then u did the both boots at 21k and 24k as if its not hard enough to get that high…….now you leave 27k empty……come on Anet……I get it that you are encouraging new players into the game with your patch coming in september….but what about loyal players….what do we get……forget about the loyal players cuz they’ll keep playing anyway?
Side topic: Its bad enough that the RNG in this game is still as crap as it was 2 yrs ago when the game launched, and still nothing has been done about it. Again and again i hear stories of people who played since launched and not quit at any point not getting any precursor drops and you hear new players or players who quit 3 months to a year getting incentive to stay after getting a precursor from mystic toilet with insane luck of only investing idk 5 gold(while others such as myself were stupid enough to drain 500g on the toilet for nothing), or getting it from some random champ box. i’m not sure how your RNG works but it feels like your leaving out loyal players and ive heard this stories so many times… its nuts.
Going from 7 yrs in GW1 i got 50/50 HoM and GWAM title, atleast i got those stuff across to GW2 as sort of reward for being loyal to GW1 which felt sufficient actually, some unique skins and titles that although small, atleast we felt having accomplish some feat that would differentiate us a bit from new players. So going back to the main topic, i know gw2 is considered casual, but come on anet, enough with babysitting new players, start rewarding us loyal players, maybe just give us some sort of accomplishment like this armors or w/e. Give us a hint that your still there.

At the moment nobody has even reached 25,000 achievement points so your complaint is a little early. Maybe they have not decided what skins to put there yet because they still have plenty of time before it’s reached.

I’m almost certain people have hit 25,000. I’ve seen some 20k+ already.

The point is, you can see the chests in the AP reward line at the top before you earn them. When you hover over them it shows the major things they contain. We can’t speculate on if they plan on adding them. We can only look at what’s there or isn’t.

At 24.5k AP you can see the 27k reward, same principle in lower AP ex. you can see 9k reward from 6.5k AP…its not early at all i’m doing this now so people can be aware. i did my homework before posting. Regardless if they haven’t decided about the reward or if they choose not to put a reward, the post is like i said to keep people aware and Anet informed that they better get those wheels going, they should have seen this coming, and/or probably just forgot to fix it.

I’m sorry op but your post just looks like yet another random rant.
Ok so I am a little disapointed with this feature update so far, but oh well, not like I expected anything in particular anyway.
Even if it is visible for those that are up there, it may still be subject to change untill someone actually gets there… right? I mean the reason we earn the pieces for one set, then the other, before getting boots, is because boots were not even in there in the first place.
I am sure that, more stuff that some will find intresting will be added to the ap chests up the line, be it more radiant/hellfire pieces (kinda hope not, as I already find the effects over the top as it is), some new armor (with less "omg my eyes, I’m going blind effect) or something completely different.
I don’t think they have forgotten us (I’m a veteran too) we are just not in focus for this feature patch, which is alright, I don’t expect every single thing to be appealing to me personally.
I don’t think rng has anything whatsoever to do with wether you have played since launch, was in gw1, if you had a long break or only just started. Some just have better luck than others. (btw I have never gotten a precursor either and the most valuable drops I’ve gotten have been worth 20g tops.) I am not happy with it, but I am not angry either… just kinda… oh well.
I’m sure they will include Radiant/Hellfire Leggings soon. Somebody with close to 25k AP has probably already maxed out their Daily and almost all of their Permanent AP sources. You can only gain new AP from Monthlies and the Living Story, and it will take them at least a year to gain 2k more AP. ANet has plenty of time to put more rewards in.
@ Zeefa, if it comes across as another rant, so be it, i cant tell you how you feel about the post, i only made the post to keep people informed. The Rng part as i posted is just a side note, that only supports in some way how even though myself, yourself, and other loyal veterans have played this game and continue to do so without ever getting a precursor, nonetheless still keep being loyal, i dont really know how Anet RNG works and frankly no one can say they do unless they work for anet, and understand what kind of coding they have done.
But going back to the point is the post is really only to say that there is no armor reward as of now, who knows what will happen in the future. I may have ranted a bit about not rewarding loyal players, but i have played other mmo’s through the years, and most if not all of the ones i played do reward loyal players way more than newbies obviously, its very distinct seeing the difference between players who played from that games launch to players who just started; maybe gw2 is like that too, but then again progression is linear in gw2, endgame = making your character look pretty, thats bout it.

Seriously, if you look at the exciting, galore-filled, rich, new features coming our way this September it’s obvious they are not so concerned about 2yr players.
Why?
My thoughts is that we are not guaranteed to bring money in through gem store purchases. Of course some of us do, but I don’t make regular gem store purchases. New players, tho have to buy the game, so that’s guaranteed money for them.
