I thought we were getting the double sigils for 2handers/ferocity change etc before season 2 starts… Or was that a lie? I’m seeing that they only announced a maintenance patch before the season starts?

I believe the answer you are looking for is no.

Remember also it was very clearly stated they did not want to make any sweeping balance changes during a WvW season.

I think you can put two and two together to see that likely the balance/feature/messiah patch will be out after the WvW season 2 ends.

Luckily, eso will be out in just about 2 weeks. The season for wvw isn’t going to be over until mid may at the earliest. Anet is shooting themselves in the foot here…

all balances changes etc come after the end of the scarlet story line, so it may be next week.

That seems pretty dumb to me if they don’t do this patch before the season. A new WvW season with the same old meta. Even the sigil/rune update alone would atleast make the new season fun because of different theorycrafting/group comps etc. Doesn’t seem logical at all.

What about our promised Account Bound WXP with the Release of Edge of the Mists… That was thrown out the window too… Still waiting.

The maintenance patch is on the 18th and they have never really said when the feature patch would be.. honestly it can’t get here soon enough.. I hope they aren’t going to do all the class CDI and then bring the feature patch out.. the DEC 10th patch screwed a lot up.

They haven’t even started TALKING about the feature patch. It’s months off. The SPVP forum is pretty much about to riot since they haven’t gotten even a hotfix in like 5 months now and everything’s tied to the feature patch for god knows what reason.

I know this will make your head explode thinking about why on earth they would do this but… season 2 was announced and starts March 28th and runs until May 30th.

Well anet is in luck because the pvp in ESO is very poor. The animations are poor, the diversity is poor, the only thing its got going is the massive amounts of people u can have in combat.

Agreed. No real pressure for them. ESO looks filthy and plays filthy.

There’s been no announcement, but I expect the feature patch on either the 18th or the 25th. Why? Because ESO is launching soon, and developers usually want to throw something new in to compete.

And you can’t forget about the fact starting a new season with the same exact meta would be um, boring?

Yea low pop servers are going to die.

Hopefully before the release of GW3, but I wouldn’t get too high hopes!

you do realize gw2 , after 1.5 years, is pretty much scrapping their entire pvp system because of how terrible it is right?

there is hardly any kind of balance at all in gw2 pvp.
Make fun of ESO all you want, fact is, everyone has been laughing at the gw2 pvp for quite some time as well

gw2 pvp is in an extremely low state right now. Its got a very small community and its gotten worse. that is not even debatable.

ESO is just coming out, plenty of time for change

I have played multiple weekend betas. The pvp is by no means great but theres plenty of room for improvement and I still thoroughly enjoyed the pvp because its a real team aspect thanks to the trinity…. GW2 pvp is basically a free for all. you basically have to play team arena to get a real competitive form of pvp out of gw2.

I’m personally not getting ESO (no thx on sub fees, broke college student atm)..but I got plenty of guildies that will at least be giving it a shot because its a fresh of breath air…. meanwhile we still have no idea whats going on with pvp in gw2 after 1.5 years

Yea if nothing changes for the season 2 I will probably check out ESO.
