3 Ideas You'd Like to See in GW
I actually really like this games multi-combo auto attack. Few games have this, and usually its single target only. Its so rare in mmorpgs that I can actually watch my character fight rather than staring at hotbar cooldowns. Id like to see a pool of skills for first attack, second attack, finisher that I can swap out and sort of create my own auto attack. Really would have only use for casual mapping but still would be nice to change stuff up ect.
I would also like to see the addition of treasure hunting. I know silverwastes has those boxes ect…but I’m thinking more of a rare drop….if anyones played darkfall I’m thinking more like that. Get a map, try to figure out where exactly it is, grab a shovel go there and dig it up. Maybe make them spawn an epic boss and make them a guild event. So you get your guildies together and all go to dig up this chest and fight a boss who will appear to guard it.
Id sort of like to see a WvW iteration of the stronghold spvp feature. Create three bases one per server, a few lanes. Have the “creeps” spawn on their own and if left alone stalemate in the middle. Then you could have players getting stuff to spawn better creeps and helping the lanes out. I’m thinking something that will work and be fun if there isn’t a giant zerg vs zerg vs zerg participating. Something I can on a whim go there and participate in it, without having to flag down a wvw guild or find out where everyone is, or do the whole solo roam gank to get some wvw fun. I know its a really poorly thought out idea but maybe you get what I’m trying to suggest here, probably saying it all wrong and seems super lame.
And finally. Guild Dungeons. Have it cross server, doesn’t matter where the guild is located server wise. Have each guild given the option to create a dungeon. Have something guild members can farm for currency to hire things to guard said dungeon, traps, enemies, bosses the whole 9 yards. Then have a special currency. Guild gems I dunno something like that. Have the guild gems spawn in special battlegrounds that are open, make them tradable on the AH so guilds that don’t want to pvp for them can have a few. You use the gem or whatever to run the dungeon and give a slow tick of…whatever the currency or point system. So guilds will raid other guilds dungeon to take their dungeon gem. Any guild member can go into their own dungeon and guard it from others raiding it…figure no more can enter than the attacking guild brings to raid the dungeon. So youll get a warning “your dungeon is under assault by X number of guild XYZ” and you can send in equal numbers to help the dungeon. Points generated by gems active will add to a guild leaderboard. More gems equal more points per tick. So you could sit there and raid a guild and run them out of gems, they would need to buy more or raid them back from the assaulting guild. Make a reward shop for members, all memebers get their share of points at the end of the day ect.
There a coffee + nicotine infused wall of text as to what I would like to see. The guild dungeon thing would be my favorite. All ideas are poorly thought out and created during my morning coffee + nicotine buzz.
StrangerDanger I love your guild dungeon idea, it adds a whole new aspect to the game and it gives players yet another option to do in game. I know alot of ppl play GW then wonder what they wanna do next whether its WvW, dungeons, fractals or SW. Variety keeps the game alive, I sincerely hope Anet doesnt just scroll past your ideas and see it with an open mind. Thank for keeping it positive too bro!!
Lets keep this going! Id love to hear what other things you love about GW and what you would love too see.
My dream how gw2 will be the best mmo:
No duelling, No mounts, No capes!
[RUC] Riverside United Corps! For Riverside!
Meh … I would like to see them finish implementing things that were started already instead of leaving piles of half finished things.
My dream how gw2 will be the best mmo:
No duelling, No mounts, No capes!
How about mounts that fight each other while wearing capes?
1 – Much smarter enemy/NPC AI. – Smarter A.I. would lead to all around more difficult content.
2 – Build Saving – Skills, traits and equipment combination saving.
3 – Rework Dungeons – Come one! Dungeons are garbage. Some improvements would include the use of battle suits, siege weapons, vehicles and unique items.
– Like using a Fire Extinguisher to defeat a boss in CoF.
– Shooting ship from an Air ship in Arah to clear the landing sit when doing a certain part.
– Golem suit to fight other golems in CoE.
well i have my 3:
More char customisation options that also include different idle animations, running, walking and weapon stances aswell different colour\style\skin options for class skills.
More overall armor SKINS (shame i gotta say that) that branch out into class specific designs…sorta like the elite spec armor skins do… just needs a kittenload more like that and FULL sets that look good on ALL races and genders and not only a handfull of skins. Also a break from generic “eh i guess it looks good” armors like the carprax ones, get some emotion and class feel into the skins and dont keep em so “eh i guess it could fit a -insert class here-” sort of deal like a-net does a lot (not always but a lot), people can mix em anyways if they dont like the look. Also make some cultural\“class feel” armors that go the route of dungeon armors (can be worn by every race but represent a race´s design pattern and a class at the same time)
New specialisations released within a reasonable time frame one after another…not 3 years of nothing and then just 1 spec per class and then another 3 years of nothing. Keep em coming.
As for the rest.. eh.. cept some balancing BS here and there a-net does it right imo
- Improved dungeons (like Ragmon suggested)
-Ability to switch race/class on 1 character.
-Improvements on current systems like.. LFG, mailing etc.
-Give mobs more powers without increasing their hp/damage, better AI, more skills (taken from players) I’d love to see mobs with complete skillbars, two weapon skills, 5 utilities, a healing skill and an elite.
-More rewards put behind content and less on the TP, legendary items that actually feel legendary
-Save/load and sharing of builds
1. Account Bound Bags- Make it so that if one character and however many had a ACCOUNT BAG, everything that’s placed in it will be accesseble on all characters that contain this bag.
2. Saved Wardrobe Slots- Save a certain look you want in a tab located in wardrobe and every time they decide they want to use a previous look, make it cost like 2-3 charges. Gives us a way to keep certain styles we like and conservation of charges.
3. Account Gathering Tool Tab- Instead of having just a tab for each character, make it so that its account bound so whatever is placed in there, if it’s an unlimited use one from the gem store or not, all characters can use them.
My top request would be better camera controls. They are better than they used to be but I like being able to stand in one place and pan to places that would involve all sorts of contortions to see (like some of the karkas in the hunt). Obviously this needs a think of how to do it to avoid changing game mechanics, like looking around a corner so you can see the mob without them seeing you.
Some way of applying skins that does not always use transmutation charges. Like if you participate in some big event you can change an item’s look. I was really happy to hear I could change looks to other skins I had unlocked before getting here. Then extremely disappointed when I found out I could only do it with transmutation charges, which were a finite resource (so no being a clothes horse and trying out different looks).
As to number three … hmm. Nothing major, maybe some tweaks to existing things. I would love to see more lore filled out. Not in a PS, but reflected in changes to the living world. For example, most of the races do not have a distinction beyond good guys/bad guys … what if there were more subgroups represented like we have with the charr and asura? I would also like to see ash legion a bit more (guess which legion my charr are in).
Use the personal instance!
Imo, the personal instance is the most under utilized aspect of the game and has the most potential for meaningful content and genuine immersion. The instances are the only place in the game where player input and choices could make lasting changes to an environment without impacting the greater world. As well, it is the only place players could develop unique relationships with NPCs and utilize the character personality system.
They’re special! They got aspirations.”
Finn the human
Mobs with classes and skill sets, like GW. They heal, use buffs, debuffs, defensive and offensive skills aswell as dodge similar to how a player would.
Would make PvE alot more interesting and make all those PvP “only” talents more useful.
#1. 2v2/3v3 PvP.
#2. Updated dungeons with a random dungeon finder and updated rewards (so they are faster to play and more frequently ran)
#3. Ways to farm specific materials rather than farming gold for everything.

^ last point is coming in HoT with map specific rewards, icon besides the zone name tells you watcha get every couple of events there
1. Cantha
2. Cantha
3. Cantha.
1. Story mode dungeons that can be soloed like Arah story. It will help PvPers unlock that track faster and let the PvEers experience the cut scenes w/o dealing with the rest of the party.
2. a WHITE polar bear.
3. Polymock
#3. Ways to farm specific materials rather than farming gold for everything.
Sounds like the upcoming map rewards will be like this.

Unless some drastic changes happen between now and release to that system that isn’t really the case. That system looks more like another attempt to get people to spread people around the world. You can’t really farm things through it. It’s just a little bonus for doing stuff on the map. In the few times I checked over the last beta weekend Malchor’s Leap was offering some junk item or at least something that looked like a junk item, maybe it was salvageable for something.
Only three omg that’s hard.
1) Build Template saving. That quality of life feature would make me happy.
2) DPS meters that only you can see. So much misconception about DPS build, a dps meters would help a lot of people to figure out the DPS of their build. We usually know what’s the DPS of the top meta build, but most people don’t know what’s the dps of other build. It would also help people improve themselves. But it need to be personnal, if everybody can see the dps of everybody, it just create QQ and bad behavior.
3) More Guild content. There is almost nothing to do in guild. Guild Mission are hold and most people don’t need commendation anymore. Otherwise most content is for small group and more than anything doing stuff in guild isn’t rewarding or easy to do. As an officer of a guild with 500 people (please make that limit higher), it’s hard to come up with new guild activities to do and keep the guild feel more alive.
Introduce farming and pet raising in GW2. It will be a mini game in your home instance called Farm Wars 2.
With exciting new features where you can grow plants in a garden! The crops will be available for harvest every day at server reset! Available in the gem store for 1000 gems!
NEW! You can now grow your own pets! Pick up an incubator (750 gems-1 time use) and place an egg of your choice into the incubator (Mount Egg- rare drop from bosses and dungeons). Watch your pet grow over the 2 weeks of growth! At adult stage, you can ride your mount! Please check the Black Lion Gem store for mount accessories like Mordrem inspired mount helmets and saddles and more!

well.. you still get mats that are really hard to get that way.. like giant eyes
My ideas:
- Open world map. Yes, it is possible to do that like Archeage(sadly that game is bad)
- Less teleports, and mounts, yes i’d like to see mounts in this game.
- It is useless to have a sea without using them, so ship-s etc to use the sea, fight on the sea etc.
- Combat base system. This combat system is “old” and easy, how about crosshair, you will need more skill to hit the enemy etc.
1. Guild vs Guild zones. In short that would be a lvl 80 zone where all players are flaged for pvp, only members of the same guild are friendly. Make that zone atractive for others by placing the large amount of ores, and other colectable materials, some daily quests or smthng like that.
2. Travelling in GW2 is not that good and roleplaying, i think we have to many portals and they make a world of gw2 so small and easily reachable. Than can be fixed if you close some of them and make ground mounts, caravans, boats etc.
3. Competitive pvp, the goal from start of gw2 was a esport but you can’t have it without a competitive and good pvp. There is no need to crate something new that no1 made before you, just look around and pick some good ideas from others…
3vs3 and 2vs2 arenas. Why this? It’s simple, it’s addictive and it’s competive…
My 3 ideas:
1. A new PvP game mode. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really excited for Stronghold and think it’s great, but I would like to have some more variety. I thought about something called ‘Golem Brawl’. All players start in a golem in teams of 5v5. The team with the last golem standing wins, or if time runs out before then, the team with the most golems left wins. You only get one golem per game and you can’t exit the golem unless it is destroyed. After it’s destroyed you can spawn as many times as you like and help take down other golems with your normal pvp build. All golems have their own build, for example, you can specialise in defence, assault or even support. Golems can then be decorated with custom paint jobs you earn, and your guilds emblem.
2. I would like to a Trading Post option in which you can exchange one weapon for another or any other item even. For example, if you want twilight, but drop dawn and make sunrise, you could trade it for twilight. Or you have a certain matt, you can trade it for another.
3. A PvP ‘Gold Arena’ where players who are fighting can bet in game money that they will win. This is mostly for organised teams, but you can join random players if you dare. There would be no reward track bonus from this, and a maximum betting amount lets say, 2 gold per player, so the wining team can earn up to 10 gold, 2 gold each, but of course you can set lower amounts and advertise your parties bet.
I have many other ideas but I think these three are my favourites!
1. Dodge revamp
The dodge system hinders this game like few mechanics I have ever seen in any game prior to GW2. It is a metagame within GW2 which nullifies and makes bland an insane amount of the actual GW2 content. Imagine if MTG’s Counterspell card was colorless and available in EVERY set release. Every single player would be forced to put it in their deck just to compete with every other deck having it. Dodge is counterspell, its a metagame within the game that the entire remainder of the games content has no ability to effect, only the ability to deal with by using it in kind.
The LAST thing I’m saying that dodge should go, the idea of active defense is core to GW2, but it needs heavy changes, specifically, it needs to be affected by the build and customization system that affects the remainder of the game content, being weaker when you don’t build for it and stronger when you do.
2. Specializations and Class mechanics revamp
Specializations look interesting and fun (for the most part) but Anets principal reason behind them is to start a fulfilling content pipeline, so that they spend less time trying to figure out how to add content and more time actually making and adding it.
Except that specializations totally defy that idea. For one, specializations are not going to work with each other, only with the base class, meaning that every addition is just going to be another +1 to the class that ignores every previous +1. Want a double pistol toting elementalist? Too bad, the main and off hand pistols are in two different specializations. Want an immovable tank necromancer? Too bad, all the advantages which prevent the base class from having stability are still there, so they can’t add such gameplay.
This is obviously for balance reasons, a great deal of control is needed over the expansion of the customization system (looking at you tournament format MTG), but this took it too far, under this system there will come a point where customization will pretty much be your specialization choice and little else. While the second reason beyond control, is that the class mechanics don’t lend themselves to the specialization system, you would get wonky nonsensical trait combinations with two specializations equipped.
There are several ways to fix both of these
- Give specializations a cost, things they take from the base class to have them, this will allow for more specialization content to mesh with each other, and will in fact give the developers greater control over the customization system, being able to pick and choose skills.
- Make ‘specialization’ about the slot, rather than an arbitrary label over the content. The third trait tree will be your specialization slot, which affects your class mechanic, so if you slot tempest there, you will get the tempest content and the tempest class mechanic. If you slot tempest elsewhere, you will still get the tempest content, but not the tempest mechanic.
3. New Loot System
It baffles me to no end how a system which has been pretty universally hated since the dawn of of pen and paper tabletop RPGs continues to be ported with barely any changes or improvements to EVERY SINGLE MODERN RPG! I remember having to suppress the urge to beat the ever-living crap out of GMs every time they pulled out a loot chart, and then suppressing that urge a asecond time when the chart gave out a spoon for slaying a dragon that was described as sitting on a mountain of treasure! (sound familiar?)
Collection systems work great in every game in which they have been used. You decide what you want at the cost of what you don’t and then you get it to some degree or other. It make a real player controlled economy where you are rewarded for paying attention but not punished for your own pursuits, and everyone gets steady progress towards their goals appropriate for their time and effort. And doing so would also actually make this games crafting system worthwhile without shoehorning massive power in to it not available anywhere else in the game.
Boats/ water battles with boats, Air battles with the new gliding system, and a 3d targeting system to accommodate water and air battles (so being able to ground target aoe in the air with an x y and z chose all though z would be something you would need to input in on a slider of some sort).
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)
Server : FA
1 – Ingame optional vote/poll system, when we complete content we can vote on what we thought of it. Arena Net love metrics and it seems odd that this system is not currently in place. It could also be easily tied into content voting so we can pick from an Arena Net approved list of content that they could start development on.
2 – Housing system, this is an MMO and compared to most other popular MMOs is lacks a proper housing system. Yes we have personal areas but they are largely unused and not upgradable, guild Halls do not cut it either as that is in no way personal. Not asking for depth like LOTRO but give us PVE players something to work towards.
3 – Hobbies, years ago before release Arena Net asked us for ideas for pastimes, they liked our suggestions like fishing yet nothing came of it. I want something to do that is not crafting or fighting. Fishing, treasure hunting, antique collecting, lock picking, begging, musicianship, I am not bothered what it is so long as we have a nice selection and that it introduces a new gameplay element. Tie them into a housing system and other current systems and it gives the PVE side of this MMO some actual depth.
(edited by Aedelric.1287)
1. Improved music system. It doesn’t have to go too far, just add the half steps to the F keys now that F1 through F5 are control keys. Add this for existing instruments and bring the instruments into the same key (so flute and trumpet can play with harp and bass). Some things I’d want to see out of it
- toggle “music mode” to change my keyboard to music mode. This allows additional keys to be used for music.
- Instrument use no longer times out.
- Fill out remaining octaves in all instruments: Add the low octave to the flute and the high octave to the magnanimous bell.
2. New WvW system. I know you guys don’t like to touch WvW much but it could be one of the most powerful features in GW2. I proposed a system before for this. Take wvw out of the 4 map system and put it into a large continent with multiple territories. Each server starts in a citadel on 3 corners of the continent and fights the other servers to control territory on the continent. The continent could be composed of random tiles even to change up the map each match.
- Server bonuses are based on the number of territories your world controls
- Some territories allow access to special raids (like having the old hall of heroes allowed access to UW and FoW)
- The current supply system stays. Supplies are fed from territories with camps. Supplies travel from these to frontline keeps. A smaller server could hamper a larger one’s efforts by controlling the supply lines. More territory to control spreads out the coverage of one server
3. Goes with the music system: Asuran Synthesizer instrument. Add an synthesizer instrument with 5 octaves and some different sounds (selected with the qwerty keys)
Story mode dungeons that can be soloed like Arah story. It will help PvPers unlock that track faster and let the PvEers experience the cut scenes w/o dealing with the rest of the party.
I’ve been waiting for this one for quite some time.
1. All the features from Immersive Combat Mode added as options to the core game so I don’t have to use a third party program to play the game.
2. The ability to save, load, and share builds.
3. Fill out the elite skills so everyone has something useful to use in that slot. Possibly consider rebalancing the racial elites and such to bring them closer to the effectiveness of class elites. I know they’re not supposed to be as good, but right now they’re just silly and useless. Even just unlocking the elite slot so that it could optionally equip another utility skill would be an improvement. Increased build diversity is a good thing.
1. Better loot system – competent rewards and decreasing RNG – 2 years of playing and still nothing useful was dropped… done triwurm event at least 100 times and only green+blue stuff…. (at leat tequila sunrise dropped some minis….)
2. Dungeon tokens rewarded fully to every character not per account – as we have now, no point of running dungeon more then once per account due to cut reward.
3. SAB – fun as hell even though turbulation mode was insane… but watching fails for 30 minutes had made my lungs at least 10% larger due to constant laughter.
Or instead of one from above fixing Charr armour sets… this constant clipping of tail and other body parts make me wanna go on killing rampage :P
(edited by Frediosz.2718)
1. Expand the wardrobe to work with sigils, runes. Ultimately I would like an unlock system per armor slot where you apply runes to armor and they get consumed and unlocked so you could switch them in and out without rebuying and destroying them or carry multiple armors. It just makes sense with traits being swapped on the fly to be able to swap armor stats, runes and sigils too. You could even add some small amount grind to get the runes/sigils or recipes to be able to allow the this new system to work without it being dumbed down.
2. wvw formats that change monthly 1v1, 1v1v1, with new maps being added to the mix. Rebalance siege such as no trebs or catas build behind doors that hit through gates to destroy rams etc.
3. Permanent content added more often. Long 3 years it has been. southsun cove, silver wastes and dry top.
1. Open PvP areas with player looting and player owned property. Just have people roll separate characters, use separate banks etc. The one thing that keeps me from getting in to PvP in GW2 is a lack of real risk or consequence. You can’t own and defend a castle, you can’t steal a sword, etc. I realize the liklihood of this happening is pretty much impossible, as Anet is pretty clear on the idea of player characters all being essentially heroic. I will still continue to enjoy GW2 for the PvE.
2. Actual balance adjustments for PvE. Anet states the design intent is every class can equally fill every role, but do so in different ways. In reality this is not true. Certain classes are simply far better in support, control, or damage roles than others to a point it becomes ridiculous to even consider the alternatives. The “dungeon meta” is a perfect example of how a certain comp isn’t just marginally more effective, but so much more effective that there is no mechanical reason to consider anything else. No one class or party comp should so easily eclipse every other. In GW1 we actually had the ability to switch builds and fill roles if we built around each other, and be as efficient as the “pug meta” in this game, the “meta” runs content with massively less risk and massively more damage. There will always be an “alpha comp” but when it’s this much better the entire idea of not having to wait around for a specific class goes out the window, or the content is made challenging only for sub-optimal comps and trivial for “meta” comps.
3. Customizable weapon skills. I like the “1-5 is what’s in your hands” system. I do think it’s overly restrictive. What if the weapons had skill slots in stead, and you had two or three options for each slot? It could be as simple as changing an attack’s condition, or trading damage for faster recharge, or giving up the ability to crit to add some condition. They don’t have to be sweeping adjustments with new animations, but some small degree of customization would be welcome, as it’s more than half the skill bar.

(edited by PopeUrban.2578)
1. Racial looking class skills. Starting out each race’s skills should look like what their race would do to use that skill. Some examples for clarification: a human elementalist would pray to their gods to use their skills, while an Asura would tap the eternal alchemy to access theirs. A Charr engineer’s turrets would look Charr-ish while a Sylvari’s would look Sylvari-ish. Don’t like how your race pulls off their skills? Go out into the world and learn one of the other races. That point in the personal story when we choose an order, or how about the lesser races quest? Pick up how they do their skills as a reward for completion. Sell different skill skins for gems on the Black Lion, and offer new skins with upcoming expansions that we can go out and learn. Yes this would be a ton of work, but would make the game look more polished.
2. Better utilize the Personal Instance. If we are off doing something in the world have NPC’s in the instance comment on what we have been doing. Let us decorate it with trophy’s we have found while out exploring. Have the Instances be decorated for each of the holidays. Let us choose from a set of themed decorations, that we can have on all year round if we so wish (everyday can look like Wintersday in your Personal Instance). Just do something with it please.
3. Give us access to different weapons per class without including or tying them to a specialization. My Necro wants to use the Hammer skills she somehow lost 250 years ago, but doesn’t want to wait another 250 just to balance out a spec line.
1. Capes
2. More game modes in pvp, and no, not in 2018
3. Cantha
(edited by Kraljevo.2801)
Allow a ranger to choose between either a pet or a personal damage increasing effect of some sort.
Implement an effective tool for reducing onscreen SFX clutter.
Add more non-long coat style medium armor.
1. Our own house (HoM like) with personalized achievements on our wall/mantle/etc, furniture, decor, statues, inside our personal instance. This would add huge meaning to our personal instance. It would be like continuing on the HoM legacy but in GW2. I would absolutely love.
2. Build AND gear preset saving for SURE.
3. There should be like a character shared storage of some sort. This is similar to the Wallet. So maybe instead of a separate system, just add things to the wallet any of our characters can use like boosters, food, utility food, all BLC items like BLC Merchants, Revive orbs… you get the idea; the things you will want on all your characters at all times-especially good for an alto-holic. This would solve the tedious and painful hassle of moving adventuring items between characters/vault.
4. (sorry i know you said 3-This, I’ve been asking for, for YEARS. So I’m adding it here.)
Make the professions like Engineer/Ele able to swap weapons only OUTSIDE OF COMBAT. I hate as an ELE main to have to go into my inventory and find my weapons to equip when I want to switch.
(edited by wetwillyhip.7254)
1. Secondary, swappable armor and weapon sets that are in your character screen that can be swapped out with the click of one button when not in combat. This would save inventory space, and allow people to have secondary builds that they could switch to when the situation dictates. This would go hand in hand with save-able specs/builds.
2. More underwater content. I know most people don’t like underwater stuff too much, but i think the addition of underwater world bosses, a major city, and possible a dungeon would encourage people to learn their class’s underwater skills better. Also, I think a distance indicator for a targeted mob underwater would help people that have depth perception issues. And for goodness sake, exotic/more plentiful underwater breathers.
3. As others have said, better use of the home instance and customization of this area. Although Wildstar had many issues, this was one area of that game that shined for me. Logging out here had bonuses (xp boosts and such) and tons of customization. People even built their own jumping puzzles! For a game that’s mostly about end game cosmetics, home building/decorating fits perfectly. You could even add a woodworking or artist crafting profession to add some content geared towards this.
No more medium armor coats!
But seriously, I have a couple of suggestions that I think would improve the overall immersion and fun as well as keep players interested.
1: Personal houses.
Saw this mentioned above, just wanted to throw my two cents in as well. Start out with a small, free house in your home instance with the option to buy bigger ones later on. Have decorations and furniture you can buy or have to have an achievement or collection for, so a potted plant can be sold on the market for cheap while a stuffed dragon head would be soul/account bound, etc. These houses should also have placeable crafting stations to fit your needs. Maybe even some storage like the bank? Just a few thoughts.
2: Randomized world content/ pve improvements.
I love the bosses in gw2, they feel massive, intimidating, and truly epic. The problem is that, after some time, it becomes dull waiting on timers to hit them like a pinata for loot. I suggest random world bosses, big ones, that no one knows will spawn. I know people dislike rng for loot, but for creature spawns I think it would add to the game. These bosses also drop rare, specific loot and award titles, etc. I also would like them to be tough to beat rather than auto-attack loot droppers. HoT looks like they will try to improve AI as well, so I will keep my fingers crossed.
3: Misc. activities.
I played wow for several years as well as gw2, and while playing I noticed some differences in each. I know gw2 likes to do things ‘differently’ from other mmo’s, but some things are fine to have and work well. First, quests. I like the random events and the personal story, but I think that quests can add a lot. They will give the player direction and purpose in the world rather than just stumbling upon a random event. Some quest lines, if they are difficult, could reward titles, minis, skins, etc. upon completion. Im not saying get rid of random events, just have quests to string things together. This along with activities like treasure hunts (like we will get with the new precursors), sea travel, mounts (like many others have said), new collections, reward tracks, adventures, new mechanics to existing concepts (like jumping puzzles). All of these would add to the experience and the end game, which is severely lacking at the moment.
A few ideas before I end: More skins, more weapon types, new resources, less rng for loot, revisit some skills that need tweaking for professions, and I, personally, would like to see an ocean battle with the deep sea dragon (though Cantha would be cool to see as well)
What do you guys think? Let me know!
1. Elona
2. Elona
3. Elona.
Fixed that for you ^^
“-and on this occasion I keep mine plate armors”
discussion about offensive/deffensive playstyles
1. Polymock
2. the lands from Factions (Cantha and surrounding areas)
3. the lands from Nightfall (Elona and surrounding areas)
Actually, I’m surprised Polymock isn’t in the game already.
1.Exploration of the entire world.
2.Jumping puzzles
3.An underwater area that’s rich in color and nice architecture. Perhaps a quaggan civilization somewhere that wasn’t explored in either game so the main races or even quaggans from the areas we’ve explored have very little if any knowledge of it?
^ get a load of this guy…
i’d like to see
1. permanent Festivals/Fair grounds where you can pay Copper to play games to win tokens then trade for prizes just like a Classic Theme park ..i know its close to Gambling but if done right its great fun for Young and old players alike . Wack a mole anyone?
2. Sky islands (new sky continent or region ) somthing Anet can just Add on , we already have Jumping puzzles in the sky in mectric province and this could move all over tryia floating in the sky maybe somehow link it to the Wizards folly and the floating castle , this could be used with gliders.
3. Base jumping achievements for HoT.
You all have wrote brilliant detailed ideas, i say 3 so Anet could easily find what players want the most, I hope to hear a reply or anything from anyone, Hopefully Gaile Grey can take many of these points and tell us something exciting. Keep the ideas coming, and THANK YOU for keep this positive. Gaile what do you think so far?
I have three teeny-tiny requests:
1. Option to mute NPCs especially merchants and any near banks
2. FPS camera option
3. Being able to sell on TP in one click from right-click inv menu
Failing that, how about a little respect from NPC enemies? I’m talking some kind of reputation system, where smarter enemies (e.g. ettins, bandits, maybe wolves, though not spiders) remember an encounter with you and hesitate to attack the next time they see you. When I’m chopping a tree, it’s frustrating to be attacked by some kitteny panther who seems unaware that I’ve just killed twenty of its bretheren. I want ogres to tremble when they see me coming. I want ettins whispering to each other, “Oy! don’t mess with that guy. He bad news.”
Otherwise, what’s the point of being a walking incarnation of the forces of nature?

She never replies unless it’s to take people’s mind off of how bad Anet has gotten.
