How long have you guys had to prepare for this patch? You know how many people own the game. You know how big the patch is. You know tons of people are going to be downloading at once.

And we’re getting 1kb/s download speeds.

This is unbelievable. I don’t understand how these things happen.

Chill. What do you think they should do? Release little bits of it or something?
It’ll download, don’t worry about it. Maybe you just have slow internet?

Then you don’t understand the internet? Speeds will clear up in a bit but traffic jams on a big patch are a GIVEN.

Wow .. we finally have the patch and people are already complaining!

think of it like this, it’s like 400,000 people trying to get a cheeseburger at mcdonalds with only one person at the register and one “cook.” You could have 3 registers and 3 cooks but it’s still a lot of people wanting a cheeseburger at once.

Everybody is downloading the new patch right now, its gonna be busy for a while, im ranging between 100-600 kb/s, just be patient.

So you expect them to do what? Buy bandwith and server hardware probably serveral times the current volumen just to make the download a bit faster for the next few hours?
How about you do something else and leave the download running?

Er, yeah, you know, like how Blizzard trickles huge updates weeks ahead of time and only needs to download a small ‘activator’ on the day of release.

Just chill for a bit. Go take a dump, or take a shower. Eat dinner. Or find your n64 and play through a few levels of Goldeneye 64. Maybe even go for a few rounds in TF2.

I’m happy the update is released, and I will be waiting patiently!

You know, you people complain way too much.

You could be like Final Fantasy XIV was and everyone have a downtime of 4+ hours for patches.

I hit 0.00kb/s as well but it’s undoubtedly because of the massive traffic jam of people downloading.

Just be patient, everyone.

so far, the speed for my download is going pretty well. Hovering between screenshot and 1.89MB/s. on my lunch break, hope to play later tonight.

Um im getting between 368-396kb/s i just dont know how big this thing is lol

I’m getting decent speed, but holy cow its huge, I’m at 500mb, and there is barely a splotch of red on the progress bar. Need to work on pre patching a bit fellas lol =D

How about dont put a large patch int he middle of the EU’s peak, and utilise pre-patching. seriously, patches at 9pm, your asking to get flamed anet.
