4K monitor

They do actually need to spend a lot of time. The UI is made mostly of images. And the resolution of those images is probably too small to upscale to 4K without getting blurry as hell.
So to properly create a 4K compatible UI option, they would need to recreate the original UI at a much higher resolution.
But personally, I don’t care for bluriness, I just want to be able to play the game on my 4k monitor without having to wear binoculars.
Where they do need to spend a lot of time remaking the UI for a 4k Screen, I don’t think you will see it until the next expansion, you see a lot more people getting 4K screens now, but keep in mind this game engine was made 5-6+ years ago.
A dev may or may not beable to confirm if 4K is something they are looking into for an expansion.
I would suggest overriding any software mouse acceleration anyway, should solve any sensitivity issues. For example my Razer mouse can adjust sensitivity on the fly with their own drivers rather than the in-game sliders.
As for small UI, tough, you’ve got a 4k monitor and a GTX 1080 and I am jealous so you must squint and suffer for your indulgence.
On the subject of UI artwork, I am fairly sure the original art would have been much higher resolution even than 4K and is then scaled way down for icons etc. There must be some ultra hi-res originals somewhere.
