5-10 reward..
woops it should be 30 minutes times 90 runs. but the math is the same.
actually think it’s supposed to be 5 tokens per event done (from the buff) in the 30 min event:3 but the kitten is bugged e.e

not true. that’s the amount of playtime. since the events are once an hour, your numbers are half the time it’ll take.

ohhhhhh…thank god. I was going to say evenly spread out it would be 11 hours of game play a day to earn it. goodness I was legitimately worried because that makes zero sense

…i didn’t even think about that..
After I discovered it was bugged I just went and did a daily boss run. Much more profitable than a no reward bugged event.

ARE YOU JOKING. the halo is 450, lets say you actually do get the reward (im aware they are fixing it) and lets say you’re unlucky and get 5 each time. each event is 30 minutes long, it will take you 90 runs to get to 450. 90 minutes time 30 runs is 2700 minutes, which is 45 hours. FORTY FIVE HOURS. In a four day event? four days and you have to spend a entire day and a half playing guild wars to get that reward? what the actual heck are you guys thinking.
90 hours is still correct. Since it is every half hour you still have to spend 30 minutes between each 30 minute event waiting. So it is 90 hours in an event that will be up for 4 days (96 hours).
You can sleep between events ;)
Yeah if it remains 5-10 blooms as the max reward I just simply won’t do these events. Not sure what they are thinking but someone’s math is off somewhere if they think this is in any way reasonable or fun.
Plus charging silver/gold for rewards you already worked hard to get the blooms for while mobs aren’t dropping anything at all. The whole thing is ridiculously messed up from a value perspective.
They need to cancel this event and go back to the drawing board til they can cook up something that’s worth their player’s time. Do they expect us to put in 600 kitten hours of farming in 4 days? If this is the plain terrible game design we can expect in HoT it kind of makes me want to refund my preorder and uninstall and go somewhere that the developers haven’t fallen off the wagon. I’m really upset at how terrible this is, it’s not what I expect of Arena Net. Besides not rewarding our time, there’s SO MUCH DOWNTIME. I’m sitting for an hour to do 30 seconds of event. How? How is this on a live server?
From my perspective this is no different from the reward structure that SAB or Halloween or other events with the exception that you don’t have to turn a large number of drop X into the currency the vendor will take first.
I remember SAB clearly. 250 baubles to make a bauble bubble, 50 bauble bubbles for a weapon skin or 20 for a mini. I spent an hour playing and got 30 baubles. I need 12,500 for a skin, 5,000 for a mini. Well back to normal adventuring.
Same with Halloween. Mini needed 12,000 candy corn and I can get only a handful at a time every hour. Stuff that, back to normal adventuring.
RIP City of Heroes

I might be wrong, but i remember SAB and Halloween to be around for more then four days?
If this event was around for, lets say two weeks. Then i guess everything would be a little bit more O.K.

Could be worse, Yak Slapper. No need to elaborate.

But playing two weeks exclusively to earn enough to get one reward isn’t … rewarding.
I can understand where ANet is coming from with the lack of normal loot, they are looking to avoid what happen with the clockwork invasion where many players said stuff the event, lets just spawn and fight champs.
RIP City of Heroes
The halo was very very difficult to get the first time. And the 10 gold part was there too. It should stay difficult to get.

I think somewhere we have to draw the line between “difficult” and unrealistic.

Tower of Nightmares event was a tuned (nerfed) version of clockwork invasion, almost no loot from mobs except the currency used then – Pristine Toxic Spore Sample – that was both dropped from mobs and gathered from plants. It was deemed no fun because of it and most players stopped doing it when they got the achievements after a few days.
That kitten happened 2 years ago and ANet have learned nothing from that experience and are instead continuing evolving their game in a neverending repulsive direction.
What we have now with the Mordrems are 10 times worse. Not only the most simplified events I can think of seeing in this game, then there’s the 30 min play/30 min waiting going on, with abysmal rewards (or none so far). They also encourage the event jumping introduced on the new maps as the most efficient way to gain the currency.
Just LOL at the fools putting these events together.

or… just give each enemy a chance to drop blooms, maybe a little silver/copper?
Never did Tower of Nightmares, being burned out by the clockwork invasion. And you can’t blame ANet if the player base chooses not to do the event because they become obsessively focused on rewards rather than winning the event?
So we now get events where rewards are only dropped at the end. Now whose fault is that?
RIP City of Heroes
Well, I’m not the one getting burned out from the champion bag event to conveniently skip the event without them
I only wish to get a little entertainment from the time I’m playing and this rehash after rehash after rehash, every time furthered dumbed down and yes, less rewarding, is giving me none. I guess it’s the easiest route to take instead of inventing something fresh, and why it’s even more embarrassing they still manage to muck it up so bad.

You must have been playing SAB wrong. It took me around 15 mins or less for 250 bauble bubbles, just memorize all the locations and farm them… Also, for the last Halloween event you could get hundreds of candy corn every several minutes not to mention you could buy them from the TP.
Both of those were reasonable (except the ghost dog mini, which was RNG) this is event just insanity… I might not even bother with it.
Just to clarify it’s only 72 events in 96 hours. It’s only 3 events every 4 hours because of the break time.
if… what u say is true.. and if you are unlucky enough to get 5 blossom for each event,
72 * 5 = 360 blossom…
am i doing the math wrongly? or this reward is gona cause some people to commit suicide?

Note, you said memorize all the locations, that requires you to play enough and note where the drops were. I went in and after a half an hour of play took my reward over to Moto and saw how much and simply chose to quit. Maybe you have greater fortitude to keep trying but I couldn’t even get to the end of the first level in that time.
And doing what on Halloween? And what’s 100s vs needing 1000s. And buying candy corn is sort of cheating and only doable if you aren’t strapped for in-game coin. When your net worth is under 100 gold, a couple of gold for a novelty item rather than useful gear is an extravagance.
RIP City of Heroes
Are there any new rewards that were not around before? I have both the halo and the horns already from the last time.

I for one ran through tower of nightmares basically every night for the duration of that event just for fun, and every time i did so it was packed full of players (and that before megaserver.
Havent had a chance to play these current events, not sure if ill like them or not (probably wont, they sound boring), but please stop acting like everyone else agrees with your opinions. They dont.

Each completed level rewarded 2 Bauble Bubbles at the end, and each completed world added the bonus stage which gave another Bauble Bubble. The glorious chest could be looted once per day and even had a chance to give a skin itself ontop of the Bauble Bubbles. So one 1 hour run each day awarded you with 14 + whatever amount of Baubles you found in 1 hour.
Yeah all those sab things were true

Good for you. I wrote most players based on my own server of course and how this forum looked like during that event, not much different from now actually. I wasn’t even one of them myself. I played for the duration of ToN cause it was a decent event and to farm goodies from the vendor, which I later made a fortune from selling on the TP
But like I wrote, that’s 2 years ago and instead of some kind of progress we now have a minimalistic version of the enemy circles we’ve seen at almost every event since release.
Still bugged, Dc’d AGAIN, (only on the mordrem map, not on my other account on the other comp). Everything back to zero, all stacks lost etc etc.. what a kitten waste of time.
