I was just in a map that killed him with more than 3 minutes left on the timer. We even had a bone wall pop up once. You must have been in a bad map.
Yeah, I mean, Ferocity + prec can over double a person’s DPS, and the addition of conditions, this sounds about right. You have to realize, there are a LOT of people right now that don’t even use full offensive stats atm against it because before it was never useful. I’d give it time.

In this case I have to side with Anet though. There was a hotfix needed FAST, and estimating high and then tweaking it down a little in the next few hotfixes is a totally viable strategy. I’m really glad they noticed that the actual problem with world bosses melting was that they gave us a ton more damage total with the condition and trait-changes without adjusting boss-hp instead of just going “kitten it, let’s just bomb conditions back into the farthest corner of unviability”. Now let’s see how long it takes to adjust Teq and adress the boon-sharing bug.
