500 Jeweller - New stats [suggestion]

OP is just voicing a suggestion. This has nothing to do with the game currently, just a wish list from a player.
There’s evidence that jeweler will go to 500, since they added the materials to the collection tab long ago.
although we’re not sure what’s the purpose of getting Jewellery to 500 when you can get the ascended amulet, ring and accessory by using laurels/commendation. legendary backpiece ?

I’m hoping it will enable us to create infusions and jewels with special effects, like poly-lumi or preserved queen bee. And/or give us tools that allow us to change stats on ascended armor or weapons.

That’s not evidence in favor of it. If anything, it’s evidence in favor of 500 jeweler being SCRAPPED and us getting the current trinket acquisition methods. Moreso considering there are other players who have stated that it’s been in the collection since the very beginning of ascended gear, far before we got trinkets. If it’s been there for 2 years or so, you’d think they’d have done something with making it something you can acquire ingame.
IMO they’ve simply left it in the collections tab as removing it would require tampering with far more than they’d like in removing it, making leaving it alone the cheaper, safer, and quicker option.

There are still a number of stat combinations unavailable as ascended trinkets, such as Giver’s, Zealot, Dire, Valkyrie, Sentinel, Carrion, and Magi (Dire and Valkyrie are only available as subcomponents of 4-stat rings), so it wouldn’t be completely pointless.
Given ascended accessories are basically on every single character.. i’d wager the only reason to bring 500 is for legendary (ie. changable stat) accessories. :s

I would like to point out that Anet have added trinkets with effects to them namely the poly trinket that change your characters color and the queen bee that adds a aura of bees. They dont need to add ascended trinkets to 500 crafting, just cosmetic jewels that add aura’s.

Most of your suggestions just completely unbalance the game (range distance) or require Anet to completely overhaul the enviroment, especially in jumping puzzles (leap distance, jump height, swiftness increase).
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
So in order to make 500 Jeweller worth it, I think it needs some equipment with unique stats and stat boosters. With this I mean that certain parameters in-game can now be increased with trinkets only. These will become “Extra stats” that are only visible on the heroes panel when you equip this special type of trinkets. I was thinking of the following:
- Swiftness increase %
- Endurance renewal speed increase %
- Range increase %
- Fall damage decrease %
- Jump hight %
- Leap distance increase %
- EtcThese stats will only be visible when you have them, and only when you click on “More” beneath your normal stats. I’m suggesting this to give 500 Jewellery an actual use. All ascended jewels we currently can get would be useless if we could make it ourselves if more cheap version are ready-to-go.
If you have a better idea to make Jeweller 500 useful, I’m all ears. Please remain civil!
They already have this to an extent through agony infusions on ascended trinkets for account boosts (gold, karma, etc) and minor stat increases (power, healing, etc). there is room on these for things like missing stats and other account unlocks for future content (masteries come to mind). Your ideas seem game breaking, and not only do they require a new system, but they also would be very minor boosts if used at all.
500 jeweler should allow crafting ascended trinkets, and fill in the gaps for what current stats we have access to that we cannot craft yet.
or make skins or items that are not available otherwise, that don’t have stat related modifications.

I would be all over it if they added infusions that added special effects :O
There are currently still a couple of stats that I don’t think you can get on ascended jewelry (iirc). Carrion comes to mind (although that would only possibly be used by a minority of WvW players). Craft-able infusions could be big.
They did say long ago that they would be increasing every craft to 500, but I don’t know if they’ll actually be going through with that or they just stopped with the ones that they currently have.
500 cooking would be nice too. Butter + slab of red meat = legendary food. Make it happen A-net.

Wouldn’t it have to be 5,000 butter + 2,500 red meat + 1,000 walnuts + 100,000 tiny snowflakes?
