60$ well spent.
AC3 is a bit rubbish sadly, and Black Ops 2 is meh :/
But yeah, $60 was one hell of a bargain, there’s really no other game with this much value for money apart from LoL.
I still love the game, but what i read on the forum is really shocking.
Yup I’ve had my £40 worth out of the game.
Bored now and just waiting for something else to come along.
I actually shelled out $150 not even particularly caring how much I would play GW2, but rather as my way of supporting GW1. (It’s against my nature to pay ahead for merchandise.) The GW1 model was, for me, wonderous, and I always regretted not supporting it with CE purchases. GW2 was my “thank you” to ANet for GW1.
Regardless of how much I play GW2 in the future, even if I stop playing at this very minute, which actually has already happened since about a week ago, I am satisfied. In fact, I prefer if GW2 diverged more from my preference. GW1 was beautiful because I could get in and out sometimes with months between periods of activity. If GW2 ask for a consistent commitment, it’s better if I just stop playing. And that’s easier if our paths diverge.
I still love the game, but what i read on the forum is really shocking.
I’m right there with you. I feel like looking through these forums is like wading through a sea of monkey feces and cat urine. At first glance you would think Anet must have assassinated Jesus on his second coming right after resurrecting Hitler and contaminating the world’s supply of Nutella to deserve this kind of feedback.
As to the OP, I’m glad you’re looking at this the right way. I haven’t got bored yet, but If I had, I would not be upset. I payed $60 and got more hours of fun than 90% of the games I’ve ever played including stuff like Oblivion and Fallout. I face palm when I hear people complain and make alarmist declarations that the game is dead/dying just because they reached level 80 on their first toon and got bored. No one does that for Skyrim or Halo, also products that only cost $60.

I agree here.
Got almost 300 hours, and still haven’t even seen orr fully (but i got one 80 level char), i blame you, ALT’S!
Money well spent. Probably not getting bored for a looong time.
I am an altaholic. I don’t mind playing the same content with a different set of skills, or the same class with a different set of weapons and traits. I have a bunch of characters that I spend a lot of time with, and the highest is not quite 30. Apparently this is one of those rare times when being an old man with a bad memory and a short attention span is beneficial.
260$ here, CE + characther slots.
If ANet doesn’t kill the game on the 16th, I’d say I am enjoying it well worth enough. If it dies then, I’d say it wasn’t worth more then 60$.
Thanks for the 2 months of a great game and a great beta experience Anet. Sorry it has to die off with the introduction of a gear treadmill and a failed Radiance/Resistance mechanic. It was a good run, sad to see it go so soon.
Still love the game with still too much to do with playing almost non-stop since early start.
I highly doubt you’ve completed PvE, a main staple of PvE requires exploration. Sounds like you are wanting the content spoonfed to you on a conveyor belt….
This is not the game you’re looking for, move along.

I have 2 80s, a few 40s, 100% world completion, priory/vigil, maxed out 7 characther’s professions, working towards a legendary, deer rank in sPvP and a few tiers in WvW combat. I’m hoping that wasn’t directed towards me.
Im not bored yet either, and the new content seems to be able to keep us busy for a long time.

These forums will be so awesome after thursday when all the QQers have made real of their promises and quit the game. no wait, that never happens, they will just find something new to QQ about, my guess is the new primers.
I feel satisfied on the entertainment value. I encourage them to add more.

Yes because you have actually tested this patch and… oh wait.
Exaggeration much?
The money I’ve paid for this game has been MORE than well spent. However, I want to continue to enjoy it for many years to come. I want to drool all over cool new costumes and then buy them with real money. I’m really looking forward to all kinds of new cool store items. New looks, weapons, races, etc!
But I do want to be able to enjoy it casually. And I can’t feel that way if I’m constantly forced to play specific content for minute but still very real ‘stat boosts’.
Play what you want, where and when you want it was the selling point for me. Now though, it seems I’ll only be able to get max gear in 1 dungeon as opposed to several dungeons as it was just a few hours ago.
It doesn’t matter much if I play a game for 2 weeks, 2 months, or longer. What counts is if I enjoy the time I spend playing. GW2 has been and continues to be enjoyable. So yes, it has been money well spent.
Best $60 I’ve spent in ages.
Its mostly a well done, single player, online RPG that you play along side other people when you choose to. Its not an absorbing, addictive, think about it all day long, sort of MMO from yesteryear. You max out a character, maybe 2 and quit until the next expansion if that expansion offers anything worth doing. A very enjoyable, yet short ride. For $60, it was well worth it, but I don’t consider MMOs something you play for a month or 2 then quit, since once I put a game down, I have little reason to ever go back, unless its very compelling. I haven’t made any real social ties, since the social aspect is sort of “meh” and the grouping mechanics are quite below par compared to other MMOs out there. If the dungeons or bosses were more interesting, that would be something, but ANET was a bit behind the 8-ball in that dept.
I’ll remember GW2 fondly, except for the horrible bugs on the Necro. This upcoming patch will be a nail in the coffin or it might keep me around a couple of nights here or there.
i cant wait for tomorrow.
I will continue to support the game
In fact i cant play any other MMO right now, even when i take 3 or more day of break from the game.

Hello everyone.
Thank you very much for all your contributions. As this thread does not really offer any meaningful discussion about GW2, we will proceed to close it.
Thanks for your understanding.
