How powerful is the golem?

Simple answer. Not worth it.

If you want a minion summoning type rune then just go for the Runes of the Ogre, the Rock Dog isn’t incredibly powerful but it can help out, MUCH more then the golem can :P

I heard that the golem has a knockback tho? I wonder how much damage can it pull off…

Almost none lol

The knockback is a total pain in the kitten for everyone else playing with you. Do not use it unless you’re playing alone.

does anyone have a clear idea of how much damage they make, and how durable they are?

I had problems with Superior Runes of Ogre as you can’t turn off the effect. In dungeon it will most of the time be more trouble than its worth.

Based on my rock dog, they are as durable as a ranger feline pet, not that useful as damage sponge in dungeons. Damage are negligible (they dont hit hard and hit rate is pretty low against moving target), but Golems do have knockback whirl.

If you love golems, you can always roll an asura and summon one through racial skill.

On the characters I use the Golemancer runes on(all of them Asura) I keep an alternate set of gear with either different runes or orbs in them for teaming and dungeons.

I use the golemancer and pet runes for fun while I’m soloing. The pet isn’t as bad as people make it out to be but the knockback can be a bit of a pain unless you’re in close quarters since it stops doing damage once the enemy is out of range. When I’m solo I use those and the D-series golem to have a pet up more often than not.
