I know that I’m going to end up doing both, but for 70-80, which is best?

By best I mean lore/quest and appearance wise.

Frostgorge Sound.

Orr is full of mobs that chain CC you and have unreasonable amounts of HP, making fights take longer than necessary. If I could, I’d never go to Orr. I hate it that much.

Giggity.

Frostgorge will be a bit more XP, as it’s a “conventional” zone with heart quests and DE’s. Orr is mostly just DE’s.

Frostgorge because you’ll spend the rest of your time at 80 farming one spot in Orr.

I got Orr out of the way first, I liked the zone itself, but I did not like the mobs. I was sick of the risen at that point. So I would say save the best till last, and do Orr first.

That’s funny, I’ve been 80 for over a week now and I’ve not done that.

I 100%‘ed all of Orr before stepping foot into Frostgorge. Frostgorge was actually enjoyable, and had far more variety. Orr tends to not be solo friendly, while Frostgorge is. In Frostgorge, you can get your 15 variety daily, while (even including Straits) you can’t in the Orr area.

The huge aggro range, constant pulling and other CC, light speed running Risen, and sheer numbers make Orr a slog to get through, and very tiring/frustrating after while. It’s a fine area for a while, but you’ll eventually need a break.

You have to mix it, Orr and Frostgorge, personaly I love Frostgorge, it has much much much better design than Orr (mostly because they don’t have chain-cc mobs). If you don’t like Orr and miss experience, it’s better to join WvW than struggling in Orr. I did that and it was fun and nice introduction to WvW.
