I do know this thread might be deleted, but at least the gm who deleted it will be aware of this rampant botting, where they dont care if they get reported.

That guy pendingdoom was spamming in /s lfm farming, cheap and easy xp, loot.

Seen a huge increase in the numbers of botters today, every zone I went to on my server I saw them.

Yep, there’s tons and Anet hasn’t been serious about it so far.

I wish they were at least as diligent about bots as they were with the food-vendor exploit or with the dungeons.

From past experience, ArenaNet deliberately doesn’t take action on botters until they have caught a large number of them in their net. I think their reasoning is, if they ban botters the moment they find out about them, the other botters will get wind of this and start changing their strategies and programs to be harder to detect. Once botters notice a certain bot or farm is getting hit with a lot of bans, they know what ArenaNet can detect and they know to change future bots to avoid being detected like this.

Currently I believe ArenaNet is holding off on bans until they can thoroughly and efficiently detect a large number of botters and get them in one big swoop rather than peck them off one by one, working just as hard each time to detect them. Either that or they weren’t prepared for botting at launch.
