Judging by the statistics on large number of opened bags on wiki, this doesn’t even mean your luck is bad. The drop rate is THAT bad. 4 drops in 320k bags puts it about 1 drop per 80k bags. (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Trick-or-Treat_Bag/research)

IMO this is the worst RNG gate on time-limited content item ANet has developed yet. Please introduce another method of acquiring the brew or alternative item that can be acquired outside of ToT bag RNG for the recipe.

8k ToT bags.

1 ToT bag = .06 gold approx value right now
8000×.06=480 Gold

There is absolutely zero nada zippo zilch that is time limited with the endless batwing brew… your statement is completely false…

Also I haven’t spent that much on the bags and the drops from them partially pay back the cost. So its not all bad but still the droprate sucks. They really need to make a recipe. Didn’t they say they would last Halloween?

Correct. Magic find in PvE does not effect contents from containers (except maybe bandit chests in the Silverwastes) or your luck at the mystic forge.

I’ve opened 180k bags so far and only gotten 1.

Heh I did something similar, sort of kicking myself for not holding on to it a little longer. But really at the time it was just an endless tonic for something I didn’t particularly care to turn into on a regular basis. :-/

LOL, I don’t really have much interest in nightfury, so I’m fine with it.
I have been using the same armor skin since launch and probably will as long as I play. Sometimes it good to be content. ;-)

Since last year.

Anet took all the feedback and developed game the way players wanted.

Anet grants community wishes.

And community is happy.

Sorry but RNG is RNG. You can play the gambling game and try and get that 0.xxx% chance drop or you can outright buy the item and pay the price which may be wildly cheaper or more expensive than trying to win it through RNG.

I could pay 50k on lottery tickets and hope that I win enough money to buy a BMW or I could instead not spend 50k and just buy the BMW with that 50k. It’s simple.

Oh and don’t complain about drop rates, if an item is rare that is good. It means that those who do have it have something special that other people don’t have. It’s a precious item. Enjoy it.

That link to the wiki is junk now as the loot tables were changed when HoT launched.

Oh, and Maize Balm farming died last week. The interesting thing is, it’s not even because of the functional changes to Maize Balm either. We’ll have to see if JS comes to his senses and rolls back some of the changes.
