Holy hell, that’s crazy! I’m always amazed at seeing these numbers because my sad little shout guardian can barely paper cut someone. LOL.

The buff allows you to damage the holo, but I’m not sure if it allows you to do extra damage in this particular fight. (I’ll actually pay attention to the buff next time and see if it says anything about that.) Either way…whoa. o:

with might and bloodlust i could probilary do about 120 K i guess due to 1000 more power might be useful! :P

I’m often throw off when I see my main do 30k – 40k crits, but then I realize the damage text is overlapping itself. Are you sure its not 9,700 overlapping 1,000 so the extra zero is tagged on?

It’s just an overlap. There is another non-crit for 480. With crit dmg of ~103% you get to the 976, two of which are overlapping.

No its not a combat log due to it being a multi hit skill, i was ready becuse i first did a 63 k crit, then a 74 and then the 97 k one. was no point of using combat log due to it being multihit and not a one skill.

And it was not an overlap it was just loads of hits put together just like hundred blades do. just on steroids. the 480 hit was dagger 1 followup from my dagger storm :P

Dagger Storm can hit a single target up to 8 times per second and last for 8 seconds so that is an average damage of 1,526 per hit. Seems pretty reasonable.

That’s the total damage from a constant chain of attacks. I’d be impressed if it were a single hit, much like hitting an ambient creature.

The final “6” in the number has the far right edge cut off (evidence of photoshop). Let’s not also forget that the red splash is centered behind the first 4 numbers and not behind the center “6” (where it would be had this been a 5 digit number).

It actually did. the game cant come up with 8 damage numbers a seconds which results in a multi hit effect. And i did several simmelar crits 62k 78 k and so on. So couldnt be a overlap. i even saw it stack first it was CIRCA 1000-5000-11000-40000-50000-65000 and so on. Cant be a overlap as i actually saw it increase during hte duration of the storm

Its not backstab or he would have the revealed de-buff. He doesnt have a stealth nor Revealed buff meaning this was from a normal attack. No way thats real. The only big damage regular attack is Cloak and Dagger, in which case he woulda had been stealthed. If you think thats from a auto attack…Looks quite real though

If you look at the centre 6 it has the same “cut off,” but it’s actually just that the black outline stops on that part of the 6, and with the white background at the end you don’t notice the rest of the curve (as opposed to the red background for the centre one.)

That is a 100% legit hit, the only issue is he hit a rabbit or what have you and pasted its dmg to look like he hit there. Whats funny is i can hit around 3 million on a rabbit…

I’m calling fake on this for reasons stated above and because if it was just a case of color buff bonus everyone be hitting high not just 1 person. But just to be safe I think we should nerf thiefs overall damage 300-400% just to be safe.

And its about 8 daggers a second over 8 seconds. And since the game isnt able to show 8 diffrent numbers a second it does the same as hundred blades.

Ever seen when you use hundred blades it pops up like 5000-8000-1000-15000-20000 in that style? The same happened with this daggerstorm. it all put it self together into one hit at the end. which was 97 k all together. Hopefully that cleared it up :P

Try it your self, anyone who’s gotten a full zerker correctly specced thief go inside the hologram and use daggerstorm you’l get same results atleast simmelar.

It does add up like every skill if it kits fast enough. You rarely use it, right? CoF p2 I allways use it against the mass of trash and even there it adds up due the bounces.

You must have hit that hard because of the channeling skill inside the enemy’s body, so he takes all hits.

Ah that would explain it. I was getting unusually high Dagger Storm numbers on that boss. I didn’t really think too much of it though.
