So, after being unable to play due to some medical stuff, I finally made it back home and to the game. This evening while running around LA, I got a mail that said: “A Gift From (image of Black Lion Emblem).” Included was a 25 pack of BL Keys.

I’ve never received a gift in the game before. At first I thought “Oh wow… Maybe I was like a lucky winner of something from ANet.” But after some time, I got to thinking… perhaps it was from another (possibly anonymous) player?

So, my two questions: 1) Does ANet do things like this. or 2) Was it an anonymous player gift and that’s what the letter head looks like when they do it?

Either way, I’m extremely grateful for the kindness. I’ve been through hell lately, so this was truly a blessing and really elevated my spirits. If it’s not ANet, I have my suspicions on who the wonderful benefactor(s) may be. And I hope they know how much it meant.

That’s awesome. I’m glad for you. I don’t know if Anet does that kind of stuff. It would be cool either way. But if it is friends that care for you, I might lean toward that being even better.

If it is an official mail, then it is marked specificly (Anet logo). If not , there is a text beneath (This isn’t send from Anet, but a player).

Anyway, I also want 25 BLC keys :p

I had an empty mail from the BLTC, when season 3 launched. I figuered it was a bug as I’d not bought anything from the store. Maybe I was designed to have 25 keys too, but didn’t get them because I’m on the naughty list?

When someone ‘gifts’ you an item or items from the Gem Store, the letterhead says: A gift from the Black Lion Trading Company (icon).

Thus, it was likely a gift from another player. Congratulations! Hope you are most recovered.

That was the mail that came with the removal of infusions. If you had infusions removed they were in that mail. Otherwise it was empty. If you had Maguuma Burles as upgrades in lower than level 80 gear they simply appeared in your inventory.

Oh, I got that mail and it had no infusions; it was empty. I did find infusions in my inventory, though. The Dev that explained the letter didn’t mention infusions.

Its for the LS3 ..when you log in during the launch week, you automatically “purchase” that part of the story.

Maybe so. I had to log on to each of my level 80s and remove the infusions from the mail that each of them got. My other chars got an empty mail. My key runner had the Maguuma Burles removed from its gear and they appeared in its inventory. It’s mail was empty.

I wouldn’t imagine it would be likely, but were your inventories full on each of the characters that received mail? Maybe it came by letter if there was no room to automatically place it in inventory.
