Obviously, this is most likely never going to happen, but why not chat about it? If they were to add a new heavy class, what would you suggest? I got this question from Reddit and decided to ask more people and hopefully get ideas to ANet, should they decide to go about making a new class. Personally, I think something really big is in the works. Rehashed Wintersday and Halloween? More like they are occupied doing something huge and are devoting time to that, instead. But I digress, what are some cool ideas for a new heavy class?

From Reddit, “TheNoblePlacerias”

Introducing, the Dervish
An ancient tradition becomes your newest weapon in the battle against the elder dragons! Armor up as the new and improved Dervish comes to Guild Wars 2.
The Dervishes focus on getting close to the fight, with many of their melee attacks hitting behind and to the sides, as well as in front of them. In addition, Dervishes can use powerful AoE fields centered around themselves that get stronger the more enemies or allies are in the radius.
A dervish’s true power, however, lies in their Devotion special ability. Using Devotion causes the Dervish to augment their own power with the power of a god, or an ideology. Boost your damage and spread stacks of burning with the power of Balthazar, human god of war, or cripple enemies and raise your defense with inspiration from Statics, one of the asuran colleges! Keep in mind, your Devotion is temporary, but as you deal damage you earn additional time with requirements increasing as you go. For best effect, save your heavy damage for later to keep the combo going.
We look forward to showing you the exiting new ways this class can use the weapons you know and love next week, as well as a preview of their healing, utility, and elite skills.
