More than once now, when male and female charr get different outfit versions, the male gets the superior outfit. Arenanet works to incorporate the tail into the male version, so there is no clipping, and a unique design. However, the female version gets nothing. The tail clips through the back, with minimal effort on arenanet’s part.
I am not opposed to sex-specific outfits for charr, AS LONG AS BOTH SEXES GET EQUAL EFFORT! If one version is free of clipping, and the other version is a clipping nightmare, that is extremely unfair to players who have characters of the overlooked sex.

I gotta say, I’m again not so impressed with the femme version of the outfit. The shoulder pieces come out way too far to be like the halos the other body types get. And the Ancestral Outfit tail thing was pretty insulting. It’s probably got to do with female Charr having fluffy tails.

To be honest anet cant win ever can they? Im just happy that the charr get sex specific outfits for a change, so ill be buying and using this one for sure. The tail clipping is a problem across multiple REGULAR and gemstore ARMOR sets, its not a surprise and its going to keep happening, does it suck? yes. but its not going to go away. i have 8 Charr characters, 8, i love charr, but they have so many clipping issues that sometimes something like a tail clipping isnt so bad, at least it has a flap that covers the tail in this case, and it doesnt clip through the entire coat.

I love Charr? have since the first game? i have a charr of each class~ None of them look the same, all wear different armors, and all of them look epic if i do say so myself! with the exception of my ranger whos armor is getting rebuilt right now~ It also could be because im a masochist and enjoy sitting there for four hours designing my armor, im not sure which.

All but one are female too.

You say this like whoever is in charge of armor isn’t doing an objectively bad job on charr. They’ll start to win when some more effort is applied. This new outfit is one the especially baffling cases because it could have unisex like usual, but they decided one gender should get an inferior version just because. I wasn’t going to get the outfit regardless; the decision was just incorrect.

These two problems do not conflict at all. Further, people who point these problems out are not just whining.
Some people want greater sex differentiation between charr. Arenanet can easily offer that. However, giving the male a unique outfit, and the female a garbage bag, is NOT good sex differentiation. The charr are already regularly treated like garbage, appearance-wise. How come, the few times we actually get nice charr outfits, only the MALES get it? I’m not going to cry sexism… though that does seem like a Flame Legion thing to do… but I will most certainly cry laziness.
The people who want gender-specific charr outfits, want to make their female charr LOOK NICE. To some people, that means dressy feminine outfits. To other people, that means fierce warrior outfits. But NO ONE asked for the gender differentiation of female-only tail clipping, and female-only lack-of-effort. And THAT is what arenanet has given us. The pro-gender-differentiation crowd ought to be disgusted.

No they will not, they will never win when it comes to Charr and Asura and having differences among their armor. There have been many threads on that exact thing and the best response people have come up with is to make a third set of gear thats unisex so that it will work on both Male and female charr and asura, and that just wont be happening in this game.

Sorry i like the female version. And i like the male version. On charr. they look different, i think they look nice compared to a great deal of other things in game already. The tail piece looks similiar to several regular armors in game. Ive been a big supporter of charr getting male and female versions of armor from the beginning. You thinking its inferior is an opinion.

Further note. The charr are one of the least played races, so of course arena net does not spend much time on their armor, but my thinking is, if you are going to put a beast race in, you had better be able to make armor for it. But even their cultural armor has clipping issues so, that says something by itself. Also the person who makes the armor simply takes the human armor, and stretches it to fit.

Just some examples of heavy armor, not even light or medium armor, now if charr had no tail clipping in game id agree with you that this outfit is horrible, but when a great large portion of the armor already has tails clipping through them like the screenies that follow. even the gemstore ones. Its lazy for sure and its stupid as hell that ANET wont design armor to fit charr tales ill agree, but on this, im just thankful that they have split sex versions. To get mad over 1 clipping issue is a bad idea too, instead we should be calling out all the clipping issues.
