So I’ve got a mail few minutes ago, and i was wondering, at first i thought this could be legit, then I’ve noticed that the Anet gm icon was missing and the “ArenaNet” was actually the subject, and the name was HOHOH
then I’ve seen the note on the lower part of the mail that warned me that this wasn’t Anet and this was a player..

now im thinking to myself that this could be a giveaway of any sort….
but I’m not sure, I’m very sceptic acout that… this could be an attempt to steal my account or something.

what do you think?

This is 100% a scam.
I hope you are trolling and would never seriously believe something like this.

scammer. A-net had a topic bout that recently. Also there isnt an a-net sign in the message Report it at best

Hmmm….says “scam” to me. First, look at the URL to log into. Don’t think that is an Arenanet site. Second…see the alert at the bottom…sent by another player. Finally…I have never seen Arenanet send a notice that sends you to a website to claim something. Everything is done through the BLTP.

I may be wrong…but this is how I see it.

Think about this very carefully. ANET would have no need for you to log into a website in order to deliver you a prize. They can just do so in the game.

i did report this about 2 min after ive seen it

i was wondering since, cause you know, i thought to myself 5k gems isnt small amount so i might check that as well..

that is a phish mail, its a scam sent by hackers/rmt and those other scumbags to trick people into giving up their personal info, if you notice on the bottom it says SENT BY A GUILD WARS PLAYER, and not by the anet team. Always check that, and never go on any website, they are designed to steal your game login info and personal info. Be careful.

also make sure to report it of course.

The gold message at the bottom is definitely a huge hint.

Why would Anet need your login information?

Yeah, if you look at the gold message below, it specifies that it’s not an official Arenanet PM.

LMFAO donating germs. I knew anet was out for germ warfare.

It’s depressing to think that there are people out there who honestly fall for these. Like, I think even if I was drunk I’d still be able to put two and two together especially with that warning message at the bottom… ._.

It’s soo obvious it’s a scam it hurts to even think people believe this rubbish.

2)all gw2 websites replace the www part of guildwars2.com such as account.guildwars2.com or forums.guildwars2.com….so www.accountguildwars2.com is not a guildwars2.com website

3) The warning at the bottom of the mail
